  1. No details on FB page ...
  2. 4 diamonds! Wow! I only ever got one ... with which you can do nothing, and it expired last week.
  3. Can not wait!!!
  4. Well done! Maybe I must ask some tips on how to choose tiles. The only diamond I ever got, expires this week I was wondering this morning if anyone ever gets anything other than R25.
  5. eish! You ok????
  6. Waterval Boven.
  7. Aftermath of a ginger beer explosion in your kitchen: bees everywhere.
  8. Hi Cois, thank you for the update. Was a bit worried there when we didn't hear from you for such a long time. Hoping there's some good news and some competent people on your case soon. Thinking of you.
  9. Hey Cois, wondering how you're doing? Keep us updated if you have a chance.
  10. Ai RIP
  11. Website says 24k for the team. From the refund policy: If you are entered as a team and one rider cancels the other may ride as a solo and pay in the difference for solo price
  12. I see solo is 28 500 and a team entry (for 2, I assume) is 24 800. I can see how solo can be the same price as team - but struggling to see the maths behind more expensive?
  13. The have access to full history from when anyone joined. They can see heart rate averages, average ride times, total hours per week, speed. A massive amount of data. It should not be necessary for a questionnaire?
  14. This is only for elite athletes, i assume? https://www.discovery.co.za/portal/individual/high-performance-athlete
  15. Probably depend on navigation style? I had a Suunto (can't remember the model) with a fairly accurate altimeter. Although I never learnt to navigate, my task was very often (and always when we were on foot) to watch the ascent/descent and alert the navigator if we get to a certain level or counted certain intervals. We had a brilliant navigator (Yoshimi, from a previous lifetime before the Kinetic era), so he must have used the info for something ... or otherwise he was just giving me something to focus on in an attempt to keep me awake
  16. First commute for the year. Spruit very green. Still a bit wet from the new year downpours.
  17. Chrome. When I get to the Vitality link, I get the following error message: Sorry, but an error has occurred. Our technical team is probably already hard at work trying to fix this problem, so please try again later.
  18. Once a month we have staff birthday lunch. It's usually a curry that the CEO's PA cooks. Together with it, a chocolate cake with caramel filling that Nancy Drew's company supplies - easliy the best cake I've ever eaten.
  19. The last few times I moved office, I went to ride the route on a Suturday afternoon to see how long it takes and what the road surface and pavements look like.
  20. Takes about the same time if I go shortest route. - saves fuel - starting a week on a Monday morning with riding singletrack - arriving at the office in a good mood - ending the week on a Friday afternoon riding singletrack - arriving at home in a good mood - getting to ride often with mr Cat-i (he sometimes commutes with me) - saving time because I don't have to ride before/after work to get some training in - relatively easy to make the weekly vitality goals. Sometimes if traffic lights are red too long I have to watch the average heart rate, but I will anyway get another chance that afternoon
  21. Sorry to hear It will be hard. My brother said some days it was hard driving to the office. One of the dudes in a previous cycling group cycled and ran throughout his treatment, but it was also very hard. A positive attitude like yours should help a lot. Your oncologist and your body will tell you what is possible. Wishing you a speedy recovery and thinking of you during this time.
  22. A long time ago when I worked at Unisa I arranged to shower at the student gym at the campus next door. And every start of student winter holiday I waited and waited for the winter water to get a bit warmer before realizing that it's end June and this water will stay cold for a month.
  23. I' lock my bicycle to a pillar in the basement between other cars. Haven't had any incidents since we moved into this building about 5 years ago. In the beginning I received a few notes on my bicycle about the bicycle racks outside, but I ignored it and the notes went away.
  24. Late response - was in Madagascar. By now all the newspapers test drove it, but my personal opinion: - Loved the gutters on the roof - no more rain straight into the window (I got wet from that just a week before the demo) - A lot more stable on tar road at 130. They didn't take us on uphills to test if you could pass another car - probably still not. Also didn't experience cross-winds. - I didn't like that the steering wheel was so sensitive at 130. You'll probably get use to it quickly. - On the non-entry levels a nice little rack in the boot to level up the packing space. With my Jimny we just pack sleeping backs or small bags in that space to achieve the same. - The boot is about 80 litres bigger, but still tiny. It's not a family car. - The first pictures I saw I found them ugly, but the shape quickly grew on me! - The biggest thing is probably the traction control. We drove around the 4x4 course at Bass lake. First the current Jimny had to go through each obstacle, carefully picking a line, and then the new Jimnys followed - just point the nose and go. Very impressive on cross-axles.
