  1. What happened to the other great Belgian hope - Evenepoel? I'm not the greatest fan.... perhaps it's the media keep making him better than he really is?
  2. I was considering to buy a studio apartment in Montpellier last year. It is a student town. A studio apartment is like a fancy bachelors flat. Price was Euro 85k. Which was pretty reasonable if you wanted a lock up & go.
  3. Although I would love for MvdP to keep yellow today, I think I'm going to shout for WvA. He deserves the yellow after his super ride last year.. and to keep the jersey in the Crossers camp
  4. Just shy of R200 for a water bottle!!!!!!!! Hell will freeze over....
  5. Mmm... Geraint Thomas will disagree with this theory based on some trials he conducted last year....
  6. Hirchi might get the bone, with everyone else fighting for it.
  7. None. Since nobody tested positive (Perhaps Merckx did?)
  8. I'm all it for that!!!
  9. I'll change tack. I hope VDP wins, being a part of a family of losers... #underdog.
  10. for sure. I'm a fan of both, but just for Poupou's sake, I hope it's VDP!!!!
  11. For sure. I'll pay good money for that jersey!!! Nothing beats class.... Imagine MvdP getting yellow on stage 1. I certainly wish that dream comes true!!!
  12. I see Aru is out of the Assos Team. Physical problems. I'm having a heart attack not being surprised. Time to retire into obscurity...
  13. Imagine Cinelli!!!! Saw an Urus with a Yummy Mummy behind the wheel at the entrance gate of our estate last week... Urus idling... Wet spot stuff....
  14. Madness!!! IF, IF, IF, this Lambo bike was linked to some exclusive Italian bike brand that stirs the emotion, I could half understand the price, backed with a really, really compelling marketing strat... BUT this is weak!!!!!!! It a Cervelo FFS!!!!!! ZERO passion!!!!! It's like "rebranding" a Tata to a Jaguar....wait, bad example... Rebranding a VW to a Lambo...another baddy... Ah... like rebranding Swatch to an Omega....sh!t... The wonderful world of marketing, and people with too much money.....
  15. Louis 17th!! Best result in a while in a proper quality stage race. Ahead of NQ, G Martin, Sepp Kuss. I wish he will learn not to ride at the back of the bunch!!! So much more stressful to close gaps, no luxury to drift a little towards the back, etc, etc. I see "pretty face" Aru was 26th.
  16. Fully agree Going to new team, that is trying to elevate their profile at WT level... It will sound silly to say that he was only there to be the road captain... I love the racing the past 2 seasons. Apart from the MvdP, WvA and TP impact, the courage the "minions" (aka the breakaway) shows is inspirational. Their winning rate even more so. Success breeds success. Love it!!!
  17. Eish!! I have handed in 3 weapons in January under Amnesty (licenses expired a while back) with all the re-application forms, etc, etc. Paperwork disappeared into the system. Was called to SAPS last week that the applications are back and I then paid the necessary fees for it to continue into the process. I was hoping that it was further than step 1!!!!!!!!!
  18. Gen When the application is at the DFO - at what stage is the application then?
  19. I've just watched the 2nd stage, he got dropped proper whilst the others were riding tempo on a moderate climb. Sad to say I have to agree that a top 20 will be hard to wish for. BTW, Maincheese, what races is he using to prep for the Tour, if he's part of the IWG plan?
  20. Or a gravel bike??
  21. Talk about NZ riders......Mr Gaze hasn't featured at all. Zero air time being at the back of the race.
  22. Interesting that MvdP kept most of his ranking points then? His last XCO race was in Aug '19.
  23. I always struggle on who to support between WvA and MvdP during road season. This is easier.... MvdP all the way.... can the younger crosser, Pidcock, also beat the MTBkers at their own game? Exciting stuff!!!
  24. Bought 3x Bicycle Line jackets last year when Covid rules forced me to ride in the early morning. Sub zero rated and I believe great value for money. The best feature was that they were in bright colours - which is the safest option when the risk of being killed is probably the highest.
  25. Methink you need to buy Kranswurm's Luminox. You will not be sorry...
