  1. Since when is an 3 /sub 4 Argus(???) a requirement for Ironman?
  2. and now you're talking BS because she attempted it last year, and just didn't finish! Get your facts together.
  3. + 1... (didn't you know that there aren't place for newbies. YOu go buy your bike , and then you're Gods gift to cycling, you even get the body with it to ride the bike for you, that finish the Argus in 3 hours, and never crashes.)
  4. WHY DO SOME TOSSERS STILL GIVE THEN THE SUPPORT THEY DO NOT DESERVE???!!! because, some of us tossers, "as you call some of us"(FFS) have full time work(that means we also make money), that does not really give us the time to service and build our bikes ourselves. And , one day when you have a younger family member or some acuintice, whos looking for a job, just note that one of those rare jobs in this country may just be to provide service in a bicycle shop to 'some of us tossers'...
  5. Think this came up on the home page... but I went to the lbs yesterday afternoon, and they had one setup there, not only will the neighbours complain, the whole neighbourhood will hear that thing taking off.
  6. was checking the schedule (with descriptions) on dstv on Sunday morning, and Argus 'It is the worlds biggest timed event and about 40000 competitors take on this "gruelling" event' Gruelling?
  7. sorry man... didn't notice Ya its them. But if you don't like the noise, you must turn up the volume of your dvd/music that you are watching/listening to.
  8. I saw very nice ones in the LBS on Saturday, you don't have to swap wheels, it comes with the cluster as part of the trainer, so you take your wheel off, attache the bike and hook the chain, and there you go(or not)Much better than swapping wheels, so no trainer tyre needed, you'll probably able to put a mtb on it as well. Unfortunately, the price, R4700ish.
  9. here you go http://www.polar.fi/en/products
  10. Because, there are so many taxis that break the law(can you break a non-existant law?) that it give the perception that blacks are worse drivers. But, as we know, the whites are slowly but surely getting their numbers up. (as someone mentioned earlier, because taxis may do it, I may do it as well)
  11. When I could ride in the mornings, I left home 4:50ish, and made sure I turned on Ontdekkers at the BP/Kentucky at 5:15, after about 5:20 you don't go east. All those too eager to get to work fast people don't have any respect for others on the road. And the most annoying thing, there is two, at some places 3 lanes, and cars qwill pass close to you. And whats pathetic is these are mostly white drivers.
  12. The Jock, Kremetart...
  13. Ok, time to seriously take people on who didn't see? Then their licences should be revoked. thats reallyt close to home... SAD. But there is an additional lane there or did it happen once the road becomes two lanes?
  14. ...and then Chuck Norris will f*((&k you up because you turned into him.
  15. Ontdekkers, Roodepoort?
  16. doubt that its a cramp, cramps are sudden and freakin painful. Probably a muscle strain/ or TEAR...
  17. + 1... wondering what this chick will say to the people back home... 'don't go riding in SA, those cyclists are twits who won't stop to help you when you have a flat!'
  18. Done 2, best time 4:02.
  19. I have the same problem riding with the club. thing is, most clubs , only cycles. Then us triathles comes with, after a week of 60k cycling, 20k riding, another 8 swimming. And you expect us to stick with you fresh legs. But we are tough, so we stick...
  20. Is that a triathlete in the paceline? Thats wrong. He should be 10 meters behind the group or 10 in front. But, I don't see why you should be single file in the yellow lane. It is safe for two abreast, and if you really want to get close to one another, 3.
  21. Pakistans... Canada, how the hell do you play cricket in the snow? Urg
  22. Its the MamPARRA you're dealing with.... Now, let me see... imagine a knopkierie... a bat(vlermuis)... bat comes to you... you hit it... cricket is a bit more advanced ... has cricket bats, and balls
  23. thats on weekends before riding or whatever training. I ride twice a week in the mornings but easy, can't go more than an hour so I don't eat anything before that. Just have water. When I swim intervals in the morning I have 1 slice with honey @ 4, and after that I have two slices with egg. So by 6:40 I've had 3 slices of toast, honey and egg and a fruit juice.
  24. white toast with honey or jam...
  25. Don't agree, Weleda cold and flu remedy!
