Did you enter for vets or open seeded Garf.That way I know to make you work. I saw you enjoyed the intervals on Tuesday, I feel they will make you leaner not heavier.

Same happened with me last week , It will disappear it is because you enter through cycleevents that you then appear on Racetec as entered .

The OFM seeding normally only comes out around the Thursday of the race. Not that many goups, Apart from the Elite and Vet groups it normally goes to about J.

Hi, Is there confirmation that there was no traffic officers. Reason I am asking is that currently we do not have any road races in Bloemfontein as Traffic officials not allowed to work overtime and therefore we can not get them except for OFM. The last two months al except two races were moved to MTB.

I also wanted to pose the same question. Only I am still riding the same bike set up than before. But after this weekend Quads and Hamstrings quite/very sore. Quads moreso than Hammies. Did not do any cycling Mon to Fri so it should not be overtraining. Feel a bit wary of training that I must complete this week.

Jip, In Bloemfontein I also think there will be few cyclist that have not used the N1. We always pass the Provicial traffic officers on the road, and all we do is " Smile and wave boys, smile and wave" . It is the only roads with a shoulder, due to the fact that it is highway all traffic is in same direction , so Agree with us also safest option, maybe not legal, although through president set by traffic officials Smiling and waving back they have given us OK to ride there.

I see people travelling more than 120 km/h on the highway quite often. Is that allowed?

Anybody here doing the race on Sunday? Condition of roads these days?

I have a two year old set , Run very nice, No problem with Hubs , Have hit a pothole in a race once, no problem. Very good wheelset and Leonard gives good service.

I am in VA and have only done one Racetec race this year. Starting 05:50 so at least it will still be cool out there. Last time I did the race the sweat was rolling of me even before the start.

Jip, I think the OFM route good though we have a few drags in the first 20 km then relatively flat but that Albrecht always get me. Gradient at 13% according to my Bryton. Maybe only around 150 m that is that steep but I can never stay with bunch there.(Talk positive, This year I will stick with bunch)

Quite sure the sub 2h40 was not last year though. Distances have increased the last few years from 97 to 107 km

Jip, After recently paying R275 to pay for round of Golf in Middelburg Mpumulanga , I do not feel cycling that expencive anymoe.At least we can train without paying. The R180 for OFM clacssic in Bloemfontein sounds quite a good price now.

Jip Also think that it is probably to loose, or not enough moisture. Ladies might not want to lick it before putting it on(Disgusting). But also if you maximum heart rate is 185 , it means it can not go more than 185 so if you reach 190 it means your actual Max HR might be 190 or even higher.
