My Nine year d son is a cycling fanatic, knows most cyclist in the peleton in Europe. His name is Divan and he asked if I can enter team for him as well. send PM to Gerald with his team he wants it confidential. during the last English assignment about a hero it was about Cavendish . so at least you know one of his riders. Will send my team later this week.

In the Free State the CSA officials always assist at club races . They also organise the Free state road series consisting of 3 Road races, three Time trials , three criteruims and hill climbs. Our Annual fee is a flat rate of R75 of which R25 goes to Free State CSA and R50 to your club. So can not really complain about the CSA here.

All cyclists from previous years were forced to have license from what I remembered , either Day or annual license, you could add it to the basket if you did not have one, why is it a problem for PPA now. As all other provinces currently fall under CSA it will mean no cyclist from upcountry will be allowed to do Argus if the Argus is no longer sanctioned . I think this number will be more than the 1% PPA are talking about. It will remove a large number of the Elites, VA,VB&VC riders from the bunch.Maybe that is what they want. But I thought the Western cape see this as tourism opportunity so they would not want this to happen.

Free State R75-00 for all cycling clubs in the province. That gives a total of R150-00 per year. Our club ordered Bibs and shirts on big scale we could buy this at R500 per set. I would say pretty cheap that. The bikes and the parts is what is costing money.

So another Roadie joins the MTB'ers. Is there no enough races/challenges in RSA anymore for the guys? We have a couple of good Road riders , I saw Calvin Beneke show his strength in the wind while we were suffering on Saturday, but is road going downhill in RSA.

Hi, If we can get as many as possible to join the 90 minute challenge this saturday in Bloem it will also assist as the money received there will go to Waylin and another cyclist from Bloem who was also asked to come on the tour. I think entries at R80, so even if you do not ride just enter and donate the R80-00.

Is that when you must try to think light thoughts when you go uphill?That was one of the methods given in Bicycling a while ago.

Would love to do it , just distance a problem , mayby plan for next year. Heard once the roads not to good.

. Two Things from report i read they were traveling North, both the taxi and Burry, the taxi turned left. Burry not on wrong side of road but on the left hand side next to the taxi. When we did our ride Saturday morning I rode with a new group that trained before the Memorial in Bloem. At one stage where there was no shoulder the guys were riding three abreast, we shouted from the back cars coming but this did not change the behaviour of the guys in front of us. That is one of reasons that i mainly cycle on my own or small groups. The riders in these big groups feel to confident on the raod and do not give was to cars.

Hi, I have been Fittrack Ambassador and using Fittrack for almost two years. It helps to keep me motivated and got 1 first place in smallish race and one age group victory at on of the larger classics so the plans work if you follow it Glad you are sorted..

Do Not know of groups but I will be there from around 22 - 27 Dec as well. Maybe we can do trip or two together. From the Avatar I asume road.

Looking nice What do i have to do to get on your team. Will be my first, looking forward to it but a bit scared about the distance. Will be looking for sub 7 and next year hopefully get a team to do around 6 hours.

Not possible at same fitness.A friend of mine did Argus this year in 3:09 in group A. He did 2:38 94.7 this weekend. But saying that there is plenty of time for improvement. Depend on your age of corse but there should be enough time to get you close enough to fitness levels and if you get a seeding not worse than group E I would say it is possible but you will have to work hard and hope for good weather on the day.
