  1. lay a charge of Assault GBH at the appropriate SAPS office. Hope you got the witnesses contact numbers. Make this POS pay
  2. Yes, CSA is not a policing force. That is up to the SAPS. But they don't police sporting body bans. As far as this matter with Bester is concerned, the CSA has done what it can in terms of ensuring that he has no access to their systems, accreditation, etc. Can he coach at a private school? likely not but he doesn't have a criminal record in this regard and such a body would have to determine if he is worth the risk based on his CSA sanction, not via a criminal record. SafeGuarding should pull up his sanction by CSA if t has been logged then this can be actioned.
  3. Unless there is a restraining order against him, he can walk, talk and peddle his services. Sadly even to a school
  4. i hope it does because when I saw the qualifications he claims i fell on my back in amazement. I didn't ever hear of Level 4 through the UCI. Using the wife is also despicable. "unfollowed"
  5. Yebo seeding received. who is updating the google sheet with start fouls and target times this year?
  6. Eeeerrr a point of order honourable Albrecht…… “One of the highest qualified “ is not equal to the “most qualified “ neh. but ya I also lag my klaar when I read that Pooh
  7. looks like it a product that works but the industry typically rips the ring out of it so I'll wait till Ryder Products has the valve and adaptor before converting all the bikes in my household, pump heads and Co2 adaptors
  8. teasers on Instagram and Facebook. Startlist only goes live in March
  9. There are people who have qualified through the UCI directly so he could be one of those
  10. Yes Orbea Speed Company confirmed
  11. Luca Braidot and Avendetto will make a great combo , Team #2
  12. This is unfortunately true of our South African situation where the distributors push us into the latest and greatest hardware and therefore make perfectly good equipment obsolete over night. rims are a particular problem because they are expensive to import. best bet is alixpress and the like. or just live with the fact you have to true rotors more regularly and the shing shing shing comes with kahtjing kahtjing tjing. in this regard, the Chinese bikes are looking super good right now and local brands like Titan Racing. Eve the Chinese groupsets are improving all the time with the current crop looking pretty good.
  13. The dude is guilty. His ban stands. Let the victims decide the next step.
  14. Marlene just had their baby so new dad isn’t coming to Epic
  15. Warping disc brakes is not an issue if you are a fair weather rider. If you ride in the rain then you will be spending time straightening disc rotors regularly Sticky pistons is still a thing. Cleaning and maintenance is still higher than with cable caliper brakes
  16. 1) if there’s a natural flow that side then next to it is a flow going backwards. If you want to join it you should indicate that you want space to join that flow. Someone will give you space to they have one extra body I. Front of them. 2) it is better to leave a buffer, usually the yellow line, so that you don’t disappear into a hole or suddenly find yourself in a gravel race on a skinny tyres. If you are trying to move on this verge then ya no well, you’re ditch dodging so chose what’s best to get to the finish. To win first you must finish 3) ya if you’re trying to move up on the inside you’re pacing yourself and everyone behind you at risk. I had some plonker try this s$(t st 99er while his equally numb brained chum was trying to squeeze me on the right to force me to give the inside man room. These boys didn’t race in the 90’s where if you tried this crap you woke up in the ditch later in the day. Todays 20 somethings seem to think a road race is just an extension of Zwift
  17. Yes indeed "A" did have many moments of base training ride. There were some very serious attempts at creating a break followed by the usual sit up and crack a few jokes. There was enough fire power in the group to ride a 2h12 but that crash at 1,5km did hurt the momentum quite a lot as the group that escaped was initially quite small. The rest burned the matches to catch back on
  18. We had three ebikers in our group last year and they pulled away to win the group …..
  19. Well in order to even take a stab at answering your question we would need to know your seeding index…..
  20. Sounds a bit too ….Savage…. maybe a good workable idea is take a riders best three results over a 6month and average them out instead of your best result. That way okes in A dropping back will drop to B , the beneficiaries will rise and everyone meets in B. Maybe the A okes won’t like the loss so much and be more reluctant to drop back to slower groups till they restore their A status. They wouldn’t want to be handed fines at the pre DC dinner 🤣
  21. I was chatting to one of the driver of a car following the A group and they said that the B group had nearly caught “A” about 5km from the Adderley Road turn. Like they had 20m to close that gap. The “A” group had nearly caught % at this time but we put foot and dropped B like a bad habit or rather they couldn’t hang on any longer as the gradient started to get a bit more severe. We Put 2 min into them by the finish line but they still held about a 1min advantage due to their early efforts. There was definitely higher seeded riders participating in B . Chapeau to them , their luck, they had the engines to pull the group that hard.
  22. all valid points, clearly a complex problem to solve.
  23. I think the cut off for age groups is "B" seeding. Sometimes a "C" will cut it depending on who actually enters.
  24. despite the low beta i still managed to get bumped back up to index <18.00 so back to B group for me
