On color or price?

My advice, pick the color you like and see what MTB fits the color. In the price range you are looking (and this applies to all proce ranges) there is very little to choose between the bikes.

I ride that road quite often, but have not found that piece of single track. Can you be mre spesific where it starts? Inside the Dam perimiter (where the club is)?

Based on price per what you get for it, ALU is your answer.

Time? I normally go before 7am and has never seen any other cyclist on that route.

It is always nice to have the latest bits. I agree with Mampara, you do not have to have the latest top of the range to enjoy yourself. It is also a question of cost vs performance. I am very interested in the Raleigh Marathon 4.0. Think it is a great buy for the price. The only thing putting me off is the looks of the back suspension - not cool according to me.

Jip that is the Hekpoort Hill (tar). Think it is the R563, close to the T-juxtion with the R560.

The madness never seems to stop. Unfortunally, with all the new cars on the road, this is set to increase over the next couple of years.

Between Magaliesburg and Rustenburg (Maanhaarrant). It is a favorate training ride of mine. I stay about 20km from there. The best thing is that it carries very few cars. Some Sunday mornings I encounter no trafic at all. Most people park there cars at a shop close to Hekpoort store (canot remember the name), then it is about a 60km ride there and back.

Looks so cool. Might just test it out one of these days.
