  1. Apart from my underwear, I'm sitting at work fully dressed in Temu clothing and shoes haha.

I ordered 4 pairs of shoes, of which one pair is a bit weird, the rest look all good and sizes true.

3x Shorts are bigger than expected, I'd order a size down next time.

    2x shorts fits perfect.

    3x shirts all fit nicely.

Also ordered a bunch of LED lights for the kitchen that looks good.

Toys and balls for the dogs, all good quality, similar or maybe even better than what you'd get at the local vet.

    Wahoo replacement HR strap.

All received in different orders within two weeks.

Still waiting for my winter gloves with the finger tips that can fold back to work your phone or fiddle in the back pockets for snacks on the long rides.

Will be my 1st Ultra, will also be the 1st time I run longer than last years Cape Town Marathon, so I'm heading into unchartered territory here. Managed to run Chapmans Peak Drive Up & down from both sides last week. I'll be happy with Sub 5, anything less will be a bonus.

Can we jolt this down for the undersell of the year so far?

Jeezlike man, well done with your Sub 4!!

Lekker warmed up for IM now haha

Just received my first package from them, exactly 10 days after placing order. They are running a free shipping promotion at the moment.

My AGS is still down, four months later🤦

Ag puuleeaasse!! You are now a runner with a cycling problem.. anything over 4h20min you were taking it too easy!

  5. Long story short, the opportunity came up and I entered yesterday without really thinking about it.. Will also be my first 36One. Any tips are welcome!

Especially what to pack in what crate?

Do you mount your lights from the start or at Checkpoint 1?

I entered the Solo MTB cat, but can switch to a gravelbike if the terrain is gravelbike friendly?

Two months to quickly get fit, let's go!

I was in 1A and missed the sub 3 by 36 seconds.

only 21 riders in our batch of 341 finishers went below 3.

i took a minute off my chappies record yesterday hanging onto that group but got dropped in the decent. (A PB that stood for >4yrs)

there is fitness and then there is endurance-fitness that i dont think ive worked hard enough for.

next year we try again 😁

We went over the line together. I'm the overweight dude in the Paarl Triathlon jersey. The last 24hrs I keep thinking to myself, if every garage pie I had these last couple of months equalled a second, I could've easily made sub3 haha.

You could try app on your phone, seems to be more stable at the moment

I get to the What3Words map section of the sign up page on the app, then it gives a notification "Unexpected Error".. Flippen frustrating.

Is there any other service I can use similar to AGS?

I received most of my things, I just follow up everyday. They will send you a separate link to make the payments.

I can't even complete my sign up for Aramex Global Shopper. That's my problem. I'm trying to select the AGS Flex monthly membership plan, then everything just hangs or shows an error.

Their website has been problematic for the last week or so, not sure when it will get sorted. I keep messaging them daily. I managed to pay for 2 out of the 4 items I have in my bin but they had to send me a link.

    Still nothing?

I also sent them a mail with no reply. Website still giving errors..

The first 5km in C were also wild. When we got onto Distillery Road, things settled down a little. But yeah, it's not a fun way to start with so many turns and roundabouts.

I actually thought C was quite chilled and well behaved the entire way. Having said that, I was dropped from the front guys up Bothmas and it took me and a few other guys and girls a good 30mins effort to catch up to the C batch break-away.

  11. I'm trying to setup my Aramex Global Shopper account, but I keep getting an error even before I get to the payment method for my account. I tried on desktop browser, phone browser and the mobile app. They all give an error.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or is AGS down for some reason? Been struggling for weeks now.

  12. Jenny is looking super strong! Well ahead of the record ladies dot, and 200km lead on the 2nd lady.

Probably going to hit the tar road between Ceres and Bains in the early morning before sunrise if she doesn't stop too long in Ceres.. I wouldn't want to be on that piece of road with a bicycle just after pay day.. apart from being a target, broken glass everywhere.

  13. Vernon Rudman and Liza Vivier always ride events together and was riding together up until now.. Looks like he made a tough call to leave her behind at WP5 to try and stay ahead of the cut dot himself..

    how does that work ?

Cut off has moved past him. He hasnt moved since around 12:39

The cut dot is just an imaginary line at average speed between Wednesday 12:00 and Monday 12:00. You are allowed to fall behind it, you just need to be at the designated cut-off points in time. Usually there are a few guys falling behind the dot, then get a lekker downhill and catch it again. Gemmerbal is flirting way too much with this idea though!

Has he turned around yet? Last time I checked he was climbing up back towards Sutherland.

No he is almost back at Sutherland with his circle route.. he is going to be so confused.
