Rubber is a Natural Material and After a Long Time the Oils Dry Out and Cracking can Occur (7-8 Years) If the Tyres are Washed with Degreaser or Other Chemicals the Rubber Can be damaged Prematurely. Bad Processing During Manufacture can also cause Premature damage.

You can Still get the Inch size of frames from the Manufacturers. 17 Inch 17,5 and 18 inch are All Mediums (Are they) ? 18 is a Large in some makes but Medium in others. I think with the S M L System they make less less frame sizes. More Profit.
