I never Wash My Bikes, After riding I just wipe them with a damp Shammy and then lube the chain with the Squirt. When it's Dirty I remove the cassette from the wheel and soak it in parafin. They are not squeaky clean but they look alright.

I think that the Largest Front Ring is Too Big. If You make the Chain Longer it will be a problem on the smallest front Ring . Is this Configuration Original ?

You get 29er in XS Size Which is a Good Fit for Short People. Wheel Size Does Not Make a Difference Frame Size is the One to look At. I thought you Guys Knew Better.

I Actually Saw a 1973 VW Beetle Yesterday. Tons of 26er Are Still Around but I have not Seen One at the Track for a While. Mainly used for Commuting and Kids Bikes. The Only New 26 Inch Bikes you get are at the SuperMarkets Game and Makro. (Low End) Major Manufacturers like Merida and Spez and Others don't make them anymore. I still got one but I don't Ride It anymore as It feels Weird. I would not advise anyone to buy one for MTB Use on the Track. To Ride around the Hood it's OK.

Stick to 32 Hole Rims if Possible.

Try to Borrow a Belt to Prove if the Problem is in the Belt or the Headunit. Assuming the Belt is the problem, Have You tried a brand new Battery (Out of the Packet) ? Have you tried Wetting the Belt ? Return it to Garmin if the Belt fails on Another HeadUnit or Watch.
