  2. IOW if you're a weight-weenie that doesn't weigh more that 50kg's and doesn't need brakes to stop your bike, then these are the ticket for you my friend.
  3. Eina, memories of accident in that vacinity when someone in the Lido bunch fell into an oncoming car a few years ago a little further along the route close to the airfield. Condolences to his family and I hope the other fallers get better soon.
  4. The oke in the middle is cancelara if im not mistaken...... Cancelara wears orange Oakley Radars and his one thigh is as big as your waist

  7. We're those pics (office shot excluded) on your ride home Must have been interesting descending Chappies in the dark
  8. Very interesting having my own thoughts on the GP4000S confirmed. I've been riding them since they were first released in the UK ages ago and I swear by them. I still love my Zipp 404 tubbies though for racing but it's not pretty when they puncture. Regardless of what people say you can get home with most punctures and a bottle of flat-fix (Vittoria). However, the one time I nailed a sharp rock resulting in an unfixable flat my thumbs felt like they were bleeding after changing to a spare tub I happened to be carrying. Bottom line, get a nice light set of clinchers (ala Ksyrium, Fulcrum, Easton etc.) with some latex tubes and you like most of us mortals won't even feel the difference.
  9. Some more info like confirmed distance, duration, ave speed, time of day, coffee stops, metres climbed, you know all the detailed stuff
  10. watch how many riders in the TDF ride with them, kinda like the yellow Oakley radars last year.
  11. Looks nice although not dissimilar to a LOOK with the 368 model number. What's the total weight and is that SRAM red?
  12. 14. New Mavic stuff for 09 looks tasty I'm glad that with the loss of the Adidas name, the styling of the new footwear still looks similar to the cool Adis of the past http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?id=tech/2008/features/2009_mavic_jun08
  15. Excuse me lady but its 08h00 hrs capice I retract my statement; I won't be seeing you ladies then, I'll be riding with the rest of the men at 07:00

  17. He also rode a KMC chain I guess the people in the know now choose the KMC over the Connex
  18. Sweet pics dude, hope you're enjoying the summer. So when is your first Kermesse?
  19. Brand: Continental Model: GP4000S (schnellllllll). Black Chilli Cost: R500.00 Pros: Best non-tub tyre ever ridden. Did well over 6000km on a pair that I only ever punctured with a big piece of glass on their very first (jinxed) ride. They are stable in the wet and supper grippy in the dry. Combined with a pair of latex ultra-light tubes, these are the most tubbie-like clincher I've ever ridden. Cons: None, these are as good as they come unless you switch to tubs. Overall: These are the only clincher tyres to buy for racing on. Can't wait to see what the response is like on the rest of the Conti range after receiving the Black Chilli treatment.
  20. I've ridden both (tubbie versions) over a period of time and I couldn't really tell the difference tbh. Granted they weren't ridden back to back so the advances of the dimpled ones are subtle. Both were incredibly stiff and light and felt zippy. I do think the advances in technology are not superficial and if you can go for the later version then do it.

  22. Hey BMC Fan, Great to see you came and supported the racing, next time bring a bike and join us for the fun
  23. They did the same kind of scheme a couple of years ago with PC's. If I'd stayed there any longer I would have bought some cool stuff on this scheme
