  1. My name is Marius and I went riding in the rain last night' date=' I think i need help, help, fokking HELP![/quote'] help with what? their aint help for stupidity My name is ShortLegs, I'm 1.65m and I ride small Giants . It has been 10 days since my last day off my bike I must be stupid too
  2. Save yourself some frustration and go and get properly measured at a reputable bike fitter/shop. You'll come away with the exact options of frame sizes to look for and you wont have to guess what the optimum length cranks and stem, bar width/drop, saddle height/offset are suited to your unique body dimensions. It will be money well spent
  3. But that's for chicks
  4. Kinda like it would be nice to have world peace and prosperity Seriously though, it's a great idea and if you could liaise with the relevant organisations and compile an easy to use events list linking to an online payments system you'll be onto a not so small gold mine
  5. Check these out, you'll be amazed: http://www.digave.com/videos/index.htm
  6. It's amazing that to this day, bike couriers in and around London can earn a pretty decent living. There's 100's of them and they've are a law unto themselves with almost cult status. There's even bike courier races (Alleycat) mainly in the US but it's making it's way across to London. There's a couple of videos floating around the net worth a watch I see Crux was still a softy , you're only a hardcore courier when you ride a fixed wheel with a single brake in the middle on the tops of your bars
  7. Its a small quantity of a substance that freaks you out when taken and possibly gives you halucinations (from what I've heard ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lsd
  8. I've got a FSA Ceramic Mega Exo on my race bike with Dura Ace cranks. After seeing the difference that ceramic bearing jockey wheels spin at the stand at the Argus expo, I'm convinced.
  9. Looks sweet Not sure which of either 7900 or RED gets the nod for the new steed, will wait a little to see what the public says
  10. There could be a serious market for nice club/team decals for wheels. Might also be a market for helmet and frame decals of the respective teams/clubs. Post some pics asap pls.
  11. Great work!! be sure to keep the results updated and photos are always a big plus. Try to get some feedback from the riders after some of the races to go with the results and maybe a full race report from different riders every meeting if possible. A Google map of directions should be a priority.
  12. Good luck WH, all the best for your family and keep hubbing
  13. Just finished the crit race report and noticed this I hope Renaldo (1976man?) recovers fully and replaces that stunning BMC with the latest team edition. Man this sux, look forward to seeing you at the next RR or at worst the spring league. Taker care, SL
  14. I've got some SKS racing mudguards that fit on my commute bike really well with a simple rubber strap I think the trick to commuting is to clean the old horse after each time it rains cause the sand/grit kills the drive chain . Not really liking the Doctor in my face going home every day though
  15. Only if you get the Bettini limited edition Sidi's also cost more and are not quite as comfy (on my feet). Jury is still out on longevity, I'll update this post when either of mine fail
  16. Mmm, not sure about the price; give Gary/Malcolm a call on 0215542128 to check
  17. Great shoes . They use an identical design to the S-Works shoes (closure method excluded) and are super comfy, massively stiff and very lightweight. The inner sole can be changed to give and even better fit but I highly recommend these over just about anything. From experience, they're better than Shimano and Sidi in the same bracket.
  18. It's not Simon Henderson either, too much hair . Looks a little like JP Van Tonder only without the boep and massive gluteus maximus
  19. Fantastic Gary, wish I was up north to be part of this league The format hides the amount of admin and organisation going into each event and the series as a whole. Well done, this is what is needed in each and every province. Since GreyOwl organised the backing of a prospective sponsor for his planned series/events could this not be the ideal opportunity to let bygones be bygones and get him on board along with his backer in the interests of track cycling. Damn I hope the CSA and other provinces are taking notes. Well done and good luck!!
  20. Fr?hlinger was definitely running new Dura Ace on his SL2 but I couldn't quite make out if it was the electronic version or not Looked to have better luck than Millar's 7800 (wait for the sh1tmaNO bashers) but would be interested to hear if he was running a Dura Ace chain or not. http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2008/giro08/giro085/bettiniphoto_0027114_1_full.jpg
  21. The normal lifespan of road-cycling shoes is as follows: replace only when the same or other manufacturer releases a new, highly-p0rn0 looking pair of shoes. This can prove quite costly when after buying Shimano's latest offering one discovers that they pale in comparison next to the latest Specialized. Alternatively you could commute and this would provide the ideal excuse for new bling shoes (people think I commute throughout the year for training, but it's actually only so I've got a valid excuse to get new stuff )ShortLegs2008-05-14 01:43:53
