  2. Don't have a Flickr account, not I mind opening one, but does the link I've given above not work?
  3. Hi Guys, I'm not sure about other people on this forum, but I Love bikes, especially mountain bikes. This love has lead me to having quite a decent collection of really nice wallpapers of bikes, but not the kind of wallpapers you find on google when you search for "MTB wallpapers". These are wallpapers where the focus is the bike, like many car wallpapers you can download. Most of them are really massive, as they are all high-res and since the attachment limit is 1MB, ill try my best to share as many as I can with you guys. Below is the link to the album on my G+ profile: https://plus.google.com/photos/106688191056470236971/albums/5766397714814177409 To download the High-res version, click on the image and at the bottom of the screen, select "Options" ---> "Download full size" Here's a preview of whats inside:
  4. Finally managed to break my Alivio 8spd derailleur, and upgraded to this: Now saving up for MTB shoes
  5. From what I heard, it sucked, I still wanna do it though, just cos I want to do the road and MTB races, so I can say I did it
  6. Gotye - Smoke and Mirrors Heard in in Suits - Season 2 Episode 1, very cool song
  7. If I had the money, I'd go for the Pyga
  8. One of the USN bottles is mine (I don't expect to get it back), had no idea it fell out until I reached the second water point. Sad to see people have no shame when it comes to littering.
  9. I had an awesome 40km race as well. At the point where we met up with the 77km riders, they made me realise that I'm not yet ready for a 75km ride, those guys are quick. The burnt single-track section was one of the best parts me, luckily I wasn't stuck behind any slow riders (not that I'm really fast). Very well organised event love how the town of Cullinan became a part of the the event, atmosphere was awesome. Also, the guys at the Powersol tent are really cool, the guy remembered my name from the Trailseeker 1. Just walked up to the tent and he was like, " Hey, Howzit <name>, how was the race?"
  10. Hi, on the topic of Rock Shox Servicing, I have a Rock Ario 2.2 that's staring to misbehave. Recently I have been feeling the shock working when I'm pedalling hard even thought the shock is locked. I'm assuming that this means it needs a service, I anyway have never had my rear shock serviced since I got the bike, can it be serviced and how would I go about servicing it.
  11. Seems like seeding mails are being sent, just got mine. 40km, Group G
  12. Come chill with me in the Halaal tent, no alc there
  13. I've been for the course too, and its excellent, Johan has so much patience with his students and even after the course, never once neglected to help me over the phone. If you love bikes and want to save loads of money paying bikes shop for maintenance, this course it for you.
  14. Hey guys, Looking for a decent bike lock, was thinking of buying a Knog but then I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up9r9kU7MUY. Or are they all just the same and I should just go one the cheapest lock I can find?
  15. Maybe Aston Martin's reason is that Daniel Craig can work better with a bicycle... I wonder if it has an ejector seat, that'll be cool
  16. My first Trailseeker Race, did the 40km (+-43km's) in 2:26. Thoroughly enjoyed it... the section with the drop off, the stairs and the steep downhill slope was the highlight for me. Definitely one Ill keep in mind for 2013 as well. Already registered for #2. Here a rout profile for the 40km: http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/hNveZUuqos4
  17. Done, made up my mind, gonna stick with 9 speed derailleur instead. http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/10-speed-derailleur-9-speed-cassette-shifter
  18. Cos I can the get the later model 10 spd RD at almost the same price as the older 9spd RD, i dont mind any of the two, just thought it may be worth spending the extra couple bucks on the new stuff
  19. Hey Guys, so my ALivio Derailleur broke and I'm mow ready to upgrade. Need to know if the following combination will work. So I currently have a 8 speed config, my crank is 8spd and 9spd compatible. I want to replace the current 8sp Alivio Shifters with XT 9spd shifters. Replace the 8spd cassette with XT 9spd cassette. Replace the broken Alivio Derailleur with an XT 10spd Derailleur and obviously replace the 8spd Chain with an XT 9spd chain Please will someone advise me if this will work, or if I should rather replace the replace the derailleur with the older XT 9sp model.
  20. Also worth mentioning, these are replacing a set of entry level ALexrims of a Raleigh Nomad, so it's a BIG upgrade for me
  21. Hi Guys, I have the option of getting either of these wheelsets, brand new at a really great prices, but I can only take one. Both are tubeless wheelsets and 2010 models. The Mavics are the more expensive ones but I really like the America Classics. On the riding side, I'm a light rider (60kg's), but I'm very rough on my bike, I don't hold back on rocky downhills, so I'm a bit concerned about the strength of the wheelset. Please let me know your thoughts.
  22. Well done! I gave you a run at the beginning though with my "Watch out for Needles"
