  1. That's frikkin funny, roadies are so weird...
  2. Really sorry 2Nuts about your bike's, I can only imagine how k@k you must be feeling. But maybe you will get something better, at least you lost something that is replaceable... I hope the a-holes fall and crack their skulls and live their entire lives as vegetables. Just called my insurance to update my cover after reading this, lots of bike getting stolen in JHB at the moment.
  3. Awesome! looking forward to the next one. This is so entertaining. I thought Game of Throne was good, but this...
  4. Awesome Thanks
  5. Brands new set of XT wheels and a Mini Pump http://www.bikestore.ie/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/b/i/birzman_20pump.jpg
  6. On the topic of Fox fork servicing, I used to take my fork to Johan Bornman, his prices were great and he used the service the fork at his workshop in Northcliff. Can anybody recommend where else to service Fox forks in JHB now that Johan is no more at Yellow Saddle Cycles. Most of the retailers I take my fork to say that they will have to send the fork to Fox agents in CT to get it serviced, Johan used to have my fork done in 1 -2 days.
  7. Anyone?
  8. Anybody riding at KK on Sunday morning? Looking for some riding buddies as my regular partner has some stuff...
  9. Here's a link to the guys Soundcloud page where he has previews of his tracks, there's even one called inverted MTB Remix: https://soundcloud.com/johnnyrandom The tracks are also available on iTunes for purchase: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/bespoken-single/id762672957?ign-mpt=uo%3D4

  11. Oh... yeah, but I really l did do a search... I saw some other old threads where his name was mentioned. But not your one. Apologies
  12. I did search, 2Nuts and I were probably creating the topic at the same time, they were posted 6 minutes apart...
  13. Thanks, saw it on my G+ timeline, and it wasn't even posted by a South African. Great to see that this kid is getting International recognition, definitely a plus for SA Mountain Biking.

  15. +1 Merida. Good spec components and looks wayyy better than the Scott. Manitou is quite experienced in the suspension business although they haven't been popular locally until recently it seems, but I'm sure you'll be able to get it serviced locally.
  16. I'm a Ninerd too, never owned or rode one though, way out of my price range... but one day...
  17. I think Wonderers or FNB Stadium could also work, Wonderers cos it's right next to the M1.
  18. I had a great race, 94.7 is the only road race I do and I'll probably do it every year because is flippin awesome, the people, the atmosphere, the route are all amazing. My time was 3:32
  19. This November will be two years since I had a cigarette. Still smoke Hubbly/hooka/sheesha every night though.
  20. I ride this regularly from work, personally I think it's tough set f hills. Starts from C/r Chester and Emmarentia road in Greenside and ends in Auckland Park at the top of Sentech Tower.
  21. My commute is 10 hilly km's each way, and I have the same problem as you, only time I slow down is at a red robot. I also suffer from SCR. I'm soaked when I get to work.
  22. Is it just me... or can anybody else feel the hostility in here? Those XTR's are awesome btw, one day when I'm big.
  23. There's quite a nice section on commuting in SA in this months Bicycling, a lot tips, stats etc as well as updates on the implementation of cycles lanes etc. Note: I am not associated with Bicycling in anyway and I know lots of hubbers don't like the mag, just thought I'd share
  24. Are you being funny or is that price really too high...? If that's too high it's scary to think how little my bike is worth now..
