I've heard there is a special medal for those who complete the full MTB race and the 94.7 Road race, is this true?

Did the 55km in 3h30. Excellent race in my opinion, well organised for such a big crowd. two bottlenecks but nothing major.

Thanks, any idea if I can get one at the venue, mix up happened and mine is in Vereeniging this weekend.... Can I use someone else's chip who'll just be doing the road race next week?

I bought me a second hand frame 2 years ago, and fitted parts from a cheap Raleigh Nomad, replaced things as they broke and I I could afford to, its taken me a long time and its still not what I want it to be, but it's almost there. Once I have enough money save up, I'll sell this and get my next best affordable bike. I'm 28 now, I'm grateful that I owe not a cent to the bank, never did, not on a car or a house or anything, never owned a credit card. I must also be grateful that the almighty gave my parents the means to give me a house. I always feel tempted to go and buy a new full sus carbon 29er on credit, but at the end of the day cycling is a passionate hobby, and I personally don't think it's sensible to go to that extent to support a hobby.

Whoa, I wish I even had R1000 to spend on my bike, been saving forever just to get me a set Hydarulic disc brakes and a descent set of wheels. My two cars and my bike are not even worth R85k

I was having an awesome 40km race, the trails were amazing, some of the nicest and most challenging race riding I've ever done. But ended up not finishing due to my seat coming of my seat post at the 30km mark. Will definitely do it again next year.

Regarding seeding, is it the lower your Race Index number, the earlier you get seeded? For, someone with a Race Index of 50 should get seeded earlier than a guys with an index of 100, right?

Can someone explain how the seeding works, is it just random or is there some sort of order. For Trailseeker 1 I was put In group H, I was then put in Group G for number Trailseeker 2. I finished both races in just under 2h:30m. I missed race 3 and now I'm in Group i for Trailseeker 4. What confuses me is I did the second race with some friends who also missed the third race and who were seeded later than I was, I got a much better time than then, but now they're seeded in an earlier group than I am?

I just send my driver to pick up my race pack from FPC, and they asked him to pay R30 for a board, but I already have a board since I've done Trailseeker 1 and 2. Is there anyway I can return the board and get my R30 back?

Are you sure? I called FPC about 2 mins ago to secure a Medium and she said I shouldn't worry, there are plenty available...

Awesome. I'm not slow, but I'm no race snake, avg about 18km/h. 6:30 is perfect. I dont ming any of the trails, as long as it;s not the green one.
