    This might be controversial, but here goes. Many cyclists will "cheat" wherever they can to win a few seconds. We see it in all sports. Organisers can't really be at every spot at every second. Unfortunately it's very difficult to close the roads completely. The rules were clear, the roads will be open, stay left and try to follow the rules of the road as far as possible. For example, at the recent Omloop they warned the riders not to go on the pavement to avoid the cobbles. Guess what Sagan and front group did? Jumped on the pavement! When the chase group came through the bike marshal had to ride on the pavement to block them from doing the same. Back to Rohan, I think he made a mistake, but very glad that there was no accident. And I don't feel the truck driver did anything wrong, except to do a great job to slow down.

    Don't let the guys find out PPA (1) did something (2) used road cycling money for things besides road racing.. And yes, tongue in cheek. It's Friday after all [emoji12] And by the way, nice initiative!

    What is the protocol in the Epic. How many tests per day? Only elite podiums or all category podoums at least every day?

    "The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has alerted the Absa Cape Epic to an adverse analytical finding from a sample provided by rider Yolande De Villiers during the 2015 event. The analytical report was one of three that confirmed the presence of *hydrochlorothiazide in her sample. As a result De Villiers was sanctioned with a period of ineligibility of 11 months from 31 January 2015 – 30 December 2015." Served her ban. Eligible to race again since last year. Edit the * for those interested.. " (*Hydrochlorothiazide is often used to medically treat high blood pressure and swelling amongst other medical issues. WikiPedia – Hydrochlorothiazide. Whilst it is not a performance enhancing substance, it is on the WADA prohibited list (WADA – Hydrochlorothiazide) as a diuretic and possible masking agent for performance enhancing substances under provision of a TUE certificate (Therapeutic Use Exemption) TUE Links – SAIDS / CSA – TreadMTB)"

    There is a long story, but the short answer from their website/faq "Do I need a license to participate? Cycling South Africa (CSA) day licenses or annual licenses are not required for the 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour."

    Guys, apparently the truck ignored marshals and went on the course wherafter the incident happened. Can't really blame CSA on this one, except if you expect them to literally jump in front of the truck?! Edit: Here is the tweet I saw " @GenOrnsby @AndreSymes @Cycling_SA we did every possible effort to keep cyclists safe. Driver of truck ignored marshalls & blocked road."

    Did she get the same prize money as winning male? If not we should boycott this race.

    Sheesh patches.. it's friday [emoji1] What I can do is try to make sure I am a ok human being and in terms of sport/cycling, try to ride clean. But I kind of get your drift.
