  1. strange the Tundra actually works for me, Its darn hard, but Its flat on top, the Arione is round, which shuves my chamois up my naught Im not a big guy, wear 31 jeans, so I shouldnt need a wider seat, maybe its a case of getting use to it.
  2. Ive been riding a Planet x saddle for the last 3 years, looks similar to the arione, but a bit softer. I actually rode my new arione (bought second hand to test the waters) for the first time this morning and find it to be quite narrow iow it pushes up between my sitbones a bit more than my planet X did. So far, the planet x was way more comfy. its prob below R400 cant go to far wrong with that mate. I just checked their site but they seem to be out of stock. ask "kiwi" on the hub when they will have stock again

  10. I wish this was entirely true.. Im the biggest KE fan of them all. I boaght my first bike from His dads shop back in Knysna. But this is what he said... "To clear up any confusion around the crash, here it is from me: It was simply a problem with the disc pads that we changed the night before the stage. On the steep descends, the aluminium rotors were overheating and causing the brakes to ‘fade’ and loose power. On the steepest descend on the stage, 25km into the race, I had too much speed to slow down and knew I was heading for a crash. All things considering, I think I was fairly lucky, as I crashed in a very hectic corner. Helmet completely smashed and I could have been so much worse! The part in bold has me scratching my head.. Unless the pads were the same as what he had been running, and they had some defect. Beause I to would wonder about changing to complete new untested pads the night B4

  20. I remember Way back in the day when people still knew who LANCE was there were some alegations that they sold bikes to pay for the rocket fuel At least now that he"s gone I can kind of look at trek again..
  21. I dont change my perceptions quickly, I use to be a fan of Cytomax but halfway through my second tub of 32GI and 80km into the second day of a 300km Mtb stage race I realised that not once in the 8 hours Id ridden the previous day and the current day combined did I feel "low" or like "I hit the wall" It doesnt give you super powers but Its like petrol in a car, It allowa you to focus on the racing. I am a belever in the 32GI revolution. My Team mate who was as strong as I was was riding on Perpetum from Hammer and he took sips of my 32 at times when his bottles were looking empty, he felt stronger during those times than when he was riding on his stuf and he changed over to 32 for the last day. I experianced a "kick" when I was taking Cytomax but I have realised that "kick" is actually just a upward spike of your sugar levels when the Sugar levels started dropping. 32GI is a lot less dramatic, It doesnt do much except give you sustained energy for the duration of the race. Ive never hit the wall since.(read fineprint)
