  1. Where in C.T can i get reasonably priced, nice looking cycling tops - long and short sleeve? Also looking for a sleeveless jacket. I literally have 1 long and 1 short sleeve pocketed top, the rest are pocketless t-shirts for MTB'ng.
  2. 69% - only on a road bike. Why stuff up a MTB on the road?
  3. cool bike.
  4. +1
  5. Interesting frame design. Wouldn’t mind a set of them brakes.
  6. Ahh - fair point. Good luck!
  7. My Shova has 29 inch wheels. It goes up and down over everything!
  8. A BG fit cost me R350 and takes an hour. Is it worth it - Yes! If your setup is wrong you could end up with injuries and/or various aches and pains. Rather be setup and comfortable, considering you will spend a lot of time in that saddle Specialized Dealers KZN Link
  9. My 2 cents. Went for a set-up today. My view is you cannot set yourself up on a bike, even if you do know what you are doing. Leg/Hip angles, Shoulder/Arm angles, seat fore/aft and height, cleat positioning - all need a 2nd person to look at your poisoning, and to then make the adjustments. Go for a BG fit (specialized body geometry). I had to use another LBS today to do my new bike set-up and it was pathetic to say the least. BG fit is far more involved and detailed.
  10. Hi Mark, On longer rides/races (80 - 120km), when using the mix of both products would you still need to top up with food i.e banana, sandwich every 45min -1hr??
  11. Morning rides!
  12. You can keep the cassette on the training rig (still some good life in it) and just buy a new one for the carbon. Get 1 - R769 or 2 new chains - R1019.
  13. R260 for 105 10sp chain R499 for 105 10sp cassette.
  14. Why, what did you do to yourself?
  15. 32Gi Accelerate - How is this different to normal 32GI?
  16. 650's are way small, unless you are a light weight into racing.
  17. The usual jealousy rearing its ugly head. Welcome to Cape Town, the only place in S.A to live. The weather can be unpredictable, but it’s not as bad as people make out. Granted, this year has been very peculiar with a very mild but long winter. Road through all of it. In Summer, when it arrives, you will be able to ride every single day. The wind might be a bit *** on some days, but that’s about it. Camps Bay for road ride is most probingly the best place to be - and your possible routes are endless from here. MTB - you can hit Table Mountain very quickly on the bike, and if you want to drive you have Tokai, and Durbanville close by. Commuting to UCT - you can do it, but you would need some time figuring out a safe route. And if you’re into bird watching, Camps Bay will suit you well! Good move, you won’t regret it.
  18. That’s from the bombs. Just hand/foot pump the tyre up if you can.
  19. I would say 2 cassettes and 2 chains. Each cassette having their own chain (with quick link) this would enable the set to wear evenly as a pair, therefore lasting longer. Also easier and quicker to change the chain around then the cassette. In theory you would not need to replace either for a while if you use the training wheel set-up on shorter rides and the carbons on longer rides/races.
  20. those are wide, you dig them?
  21. Mine is 13kgs. Could get it lighter with carbon bits and pieces. (Could also just loose my gut)
  22. No worries man, welcome to C.T - sensitive issue, but I agree, no need for the over agro responses.
  23. News said either this afternoon, or tomorrow. News24
