  1. https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/uci-turns-from-red-bull-to-discovery-sports-for-mountain-bike-world-cup/ 😢
  2. Went for a ride at Rhebokskloof this morning and was excited to discover a "new"? trail called Owloon. Not sure why I hadn't heard of it before but it was some fantastic riding. Super fun descent into it from Rheboks with a ton of sweet, sweet berms. There also a new (to me) set of berms in the pine trees at the top. Nice cool weather, fantastic day on the bike. Also, i saw a snake.
  3. Sounds like RB are out of all world cup action from next year. It's a crying shame.
  4. My 2fo are the clip version so maybe they don't compare, but if you call those stiff then I'm afraid you may have a very disappointed partner.
  5. Here you go. https://csixx.com/products/derailleur-cage?variant=39358101258317
  6. Here's a link. I can take a pic of the ones on the bike if that's better or can measure the hole in the frame. https://eu.intensecycles.com/collections/replacement-parts/products/primer-grommet-kit
  7. Would anyone be able to help with printing some cable grommets? They're currently out of stock but even when they are in, I would have to import them.
  8. You try rail a loose berm with your shock falling off!
  9. Enjoy this day! You're unlikely to ever buy pedals again...
  10. On my ride this morning my bike started making a really strange noise on the second downhill section of the ride. It sounded like my rear shock was loose and I could feel the bike rattling around. It was so bad that it was affecting the bike's handling. I stopped to see what was going on. Check the shock, tight. Headset, wheels- all good. Nothing seemed loose. I shook the whole bike and there is a loud "clunk-clunk-clunk" noise. I froze my water bottle last night in anticipation of a hot day and at the top of the climb I had drained all the liquid, which left a solid chunk of about 300g of ice in the bottle. Without any liquid in there, the ice was shaking around like crazy, causing all sorts of nonsense. A bit of water from my camelbak and problem solved.
  11. A lovely morning at Banhoek.
  12. @Nickthis is a brilliant feature. Really appreciate the effort you guys put into rooting out scammers.
  13. Murder is illegal. No one here is under the illusion that it doesn't exist or is under control in our country. I'm still shocked and outraged when it happens.
  14. It is currently very easy to see who in this thread is doped up.
  15. I always ride with glasses out of necessity. I don't use a buff or any other fancy sweat defence and I almost never have sweat drop in my glasses. Even in 40 degree Winelands heat. How much do you guys sweat??
  16. Same people that continue to support and defend "ex" dopers will complain all day about the lack accountability in government.
  17. He literally said, "Not sure if this leaves me as a happy customer".
  18. Those of you that ride with prescription glasses, what do you use? I use Oakley Crosslink as my casual glasses and they have to make do for riding.
  19. If you read all the responses so far, it doesn't seem to be heading that way. The fact that a number of guys have shared how they have unknowingly sold damaged items and have made good to rectify the problem, just goes to highlight the benefits of dealing within a community like this. I doubt many Gumtree sellers would have gone to the effort of making right in such a situation.
  20. Low 30's is a cool day in the Boland. Superb race though. Absolutely loved it as a kid. That is prime MTB country👌
  21. ROAG (Race Organiser Admin Group) has been around for ages. They provide a race admin platform (corrections?). Many of the KZN mtb and triathlon type events were run through their system. Their club had been around for many years as well.
  22. I don't know if it classifies as "horror" but I bought a bike that was "recently serviced". All looked good at first. List of things that I needed to do: Fork lowers service, all frame bearings needed to be replaced, new BB, brake pads, chain... It was an expensive exercise.
  23. No dude! I hope some good Samaritan picked it up.
