  1. Following this thread has made me realise I need to remove a token from my fox 34. 75kg and it would take an act of God to bottom out my fork with anything less than 50% sag. It feels way too progressive for me. Any suggestions where I can find a chamfer-less 26mm socket that doesn't break the bank?
  2. You absolute madman! (Also, thanks!)
  3. We should be grateful they're recycling the same old scam. Better chance people have heard of it...
  4. Out of stock sadly. I've signed up to hear when they get again.
  5. Looking for a 165mm crank. 24mm spindle, 1x chainring (chainring not needed though) Looking to purchase.
  6. There were two teams of builders out repairing this morning and everything we rode was great.
  7. It's not as big as it looks! No idea what speed, but it wasn't flat out. Took a video but don't know how to post it.
  8. First time out at Banhoek, what a treat!
  9. I do not know to be honest. I was going to follow the GPS...
  10. I'm wanting to head to Banhoek tomorrow morning, but I heard that the gate only opens at 8am. Does anyone know if it's possible to ride before that, where can one park etc? Any info appreciated.
  11. No 168mm from what I saw...
  12. It was a saddle. But then he told me hq don't have it in stock. Perhaps I should try my local dealer rather.
  13. The annoying part is that my local Spez dealer was very happy to give the online price for a kids helmet I got from them.
  14. 100%. Unfortunately our country glorifies not only drinking, but the stupid things done while drunk. We can all share "cool" stories about the drunk things done in our youth, but then we hear a story about a group of cyclists being taken out by a drunk driver, then suddenly doing stupid things while drunk is no longer cool.
  15. So I saw an item I was interested in on the Spez website, it shows in stock. I called the store, confirmed stock. Great. Except they're unwilling to honour the price on the site? Why even bother listing items "on sale", if you have no intention of honouring the price listed? Just my Saturday rant. As you were.
  16. Where can these be obtained?
  17. I'm about the furthest thing from a Gym-bro... Also, I'm in the Cape. As I said, no horse etc etc
  18. I've got no horse in this race, but some of these responses absolutely perplex me. The initial request was non confrontational, and not grossly unreasonable. Are people really so insecure that they need to assert themselves for no reason other than to boost their fragile egos?
  19. The lower section is great for kids, and their restaurant/picnic lawn is one of the nicest places around. The Red and Black routes have some decent climbs with very loose, hard trails on the side of the mountain. All very do-able with caution if not technically confident.
  20. Please add the link, when I checked their site it showed R1000. I'll buy next year's board now if it's only R750. Nvm. Just saw Rock Guy's explanation above.
  21. Not sure where you saw that. If you go to the Winelands website, an adult membership is R1000 for the year. They did reduce it to R750 from about July, but that was a half year discount.
  22. It is shameful, I know. Unfortunately, due to work and family commitments, I am restricted to weekday rides that I can fit around my work schedule. This means I seldom have time to drive further than the immediately surrounding trails. Looking to change that though, so your feedback as well as Rock Guy's has fueled my desire to get to Banhoek and Jonkers.
  23. Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread, but I'm looking for some technical trails to try this December. Plaisir and Rhebokskloof are my default rides this side, where can I find similar or more technical trails? Tygerberg? Jonkers? Banhoek?
  24. Looking for a Mavic spoke spanner please.
  25. Really appreciate the feedback, thanks! I have been using a Phenom, the 155mm I really enjoyed, the 143mm caused me pain. With my lower back issue though I need to be more upright so need to go one wider, hence 164mm ish. The C17 looks really good. I can only find the all weather version locally. Is that fine or is leather best?
