  1. Ive got KCNC Skewers on my bike, and they weigh in at 44g for the pair. Carlo, you could loose quite a bit of weight if you change from the ITM components to Easton... Stem - ITM 189g vs. Easton EA90 116g (100mm) Bars - ITM 278g vs. Easton EC90SLX 195g (44cm) Seatpost - Felt 217g - Easton EC90 178g and like parra said the calipers - DA 324g vs. Zero G Ti 174g (inc. pads) (All actual weights measured from parts off my bike) Thats a weight saving of 345g, which would make your bike illegal! BTW, it looks stunning now with those Easton wheels! Great choice!Zaskar2009-01-22 01:57:25

  4. What are the prices for a season ticket / multiple entry ticket?
  5. Ha that explains it! I was awake for hours last night after the ride. I finally fell asleep sometime after midnight, and then when my alarm went of at 4 this morning to ride, it felt like i had about 15 mins of sleep in total. But that was minor, as i had an awesome time at the park. Thanks Andrem and Ali for hosting it, it certainly is a lot of fun, and im sure its going to be a great success. And Ben sorry to hear about your crash. Hope you heal up fast!
  6. Give Nico a call at Bell Cycles ? Nelspruit (013) 757 0920
  7. I picked up a box of Kiwi and the Pepto Protien from Jeff at the Expo. Have never used either of these flavours before, but have used the other ones many times. Took my first protien gel in the start pen, and i loved the taste! i honestly thought it tasted like a crunchie chocolate bar (that delicious yellow honeycomb stuff they put inside the bar), so im not sure where the vanilla comes in, but hey as long as it tastes good. It went down really well, and i felt great the whole way along the M1. Took a kiwi gel in the town section, and apart form the cobbles making me spill half of it down my leg, i really didnt mind it at all. Its not great tasting, but its not like its going to make you spew. I could easily swallow it, and after a sip of water it was gone. Once again i felt strong all the way to Witkoppen, where i sucked down my next protein gel. Might have been a little late, as my legs were suffering on the climb, and i just lost the bunch at the top. But when it kicked in i was back in the race, and was pacing a large group of riders along the N14 section. Took my last Kiwi gel just after we turned off the highway, and again it was like a turbo boost. I felt great along the long drags, and the final few hills, and i came in with a pretty good time of 2h26. I think they work really well, so well that i was pushing harder than my muscles would allow. I had plenty of energy, but was cramping really badly in the last 5km. My legs just wouldnt work, even though they had lots of reserves. Considering the training (or lack thereof) ive done in the last month, with exams and work pressure, i was really counting on a 2;40 if i was lucky, but in the end the gels must have done thier job, because i felt great the whole way. Well done Collin, you are onto a great thing here, and i think as long as they work you will have customers. Ill certainly reccommend them to everyone, and will definitly keep buying them in future.
  8. Where is the enterance?
  9. Dont know about this year, but this is what we all went to the expo for in years gone by...
  10. I use Cormia pads on my Boras, and have no problems at all. They work really well! I also use them when i put my Alu training wheels on the bike, but like Shadowchaser said, always just sand them down a bit before you put the carbon wheels back on. Mine always pick up bits of Alu from the rim.
  11. A few of the pics that i took on my phone...
  12. Or check out the Easton EA70 range. Super strong, and pretty light
  13. Cool. Just curious, as we usually end up chatting on Tuesdays at the crit!
  14. Mark is your son (Kurt?) comming along?
  15. Yip, big thumbs up to Alex and Ruan! Last week Tuesday we went to the the shop after the crit, and then again on Thursday night, both evenings well past 8pm as Ruan worked on Amateurs mountain bike. Ill definitly keep supporting Alex if i get service like that! Im really looking forward to the crit tonight, and the cappucino's afterwards! (So Ian, where were you this morning?? If your bike was ready, why didnt you ride ICG? 3.5hours sleep is more than enough! Thug is running away with the points for this month!)
  16. I think you can add me and my other half to the list. She hasnt confirmed, but ill twist her arm! So thats Zaskar and Amateur, plus ill try bring another mate along as well.
