  1. Is that for your Road or Mountain bike? It looks comfy, but im not too sure on that natural brown leather colour?
  2. Thats funny, because i have always had mine set up with the nose dropped about 5mm, and that feels the best for me. If i set it level, it feels like im slipping off the back??
  3. Very nice bike, my dad bought himself one early this year, and he loves it. Well specced, and its great value for money. If you dont come right finding one in Durbs, im sure you could get one through Cajees up in JHB. They had plenty of stock a few months ago.
  4. Its Jay Spendley from Cyclelab. JayS on the hub i think?
  5. My Garmin 705 gets the lap distance at 867m, give or take a few for different lines through the corners etc.
  6. On the other hand, at R3600 for the Super Record one ill just stick with mine. Sorry BB, not going to be at the R4V. But might be doing a ride out at Suikerbos starting from the circus next weekend. Will let you know.
  7. Well i was thinking of getting it and giving her my Record one (2 months old) but hey there goes that plan
  8. So will an 11sp Super Record rear derailleur work on my 10speed Record?
  9. I got both, 4000s on my 'race' wheels and gatorskins on my 'training' wheels. Since i got them, both sets around Nov last year i have had a total of 4 punctures, 3 in the gatorskins, and one on the 4000s. Both have probably done similar milage, as im not really fussed about which wheels i ride with. (I race on my Boras that are fitted with Gatroskin tubbies!) Honestly i cant say that the 4000s is a better tire just because it has has less punctures, it could have just been luck. But it certainly goes on to the rim easier than the wire beaded gatorskin, and is considerably lighter as well. The wear on the 4000s is also very good, showing very little signs of wear even after almost a year of use. If this was my ond 4000 tires, the tread would have been square and probably be in the bin already. Grip seems similar on both tires, as does cornering etc. But having said that no matter what tire you ride, hit a while line in the wet on a corner and you will slide. I prefer the look of the 4000s, just because of the all black casing, and the fact that it has a kevlar bead. But for an all purpose tire that you can race and train on, the gatorskin cant be beat in terms of price.
  10. Like muddee says, just ride it with a 10sp Campy cassette. I know Pantani, Gary Rabie and a few other hubbers also do that. Really it wont make any difference. All my wheels are fitted with campy 10sp cassettes and i ride them daily on my Shimano 105 fitted bike. Works just as well with DA. Do a search here on the hub on the subject, and you will see lots of threads on the issue. Really its no big deal, and you will save yourself a few hundred rand by not having to replace your freehub.
  11. We also picked up a set on the weekend for Amateurs bike. The build is coming along nicley now...
  12. Continental Competition or GP4000 Tubbies
  13. White K-Sword bar and stem is all standard. Pity they dont make a seatpost to match.
  14. Nice bike Stringbean! Is that extra peice of bling a Record front derailleur?
  15. Jeremy, thats just taking things to a whole new level
  16. Sorry BB, but that just looks like every other Specialized to me
  17. They didnt ride tandem at the tour this year... But nevertheless, Happy Birthday Andrew! Wish you all the best for the future!
  18. Nice build, but i would loose that mud guard. Ive got a nice set of Crud Catchers that i bought in the UK, but i think they totally spoil the look of the bike. So i keep them hidden, and only bring them out when its very very muddy. Like the rotor effect, what paint did you use on them?
  19. DMT Flash - got them for a good price!
  20. Need to get the disc painted up like this... or this...
  21. Swift's Vets Cat race was only today... Couldnt find Mikes results anywhere, but here us the link, let us know if you find them... http://www.triathlon.org/zpg/zevt-dtl-prtcpnts_v4.php?call=TVRFdw==&keep=sh&id=MTA2Mw==&sh=rs&rsid=2709
