This is the same route (well 98 % of it) as Roller Coaster.......

Actually he spent 18+ hours in the saddle..... Started his first loop around 2am.... after he cyled to the start from home (another 20+ km) and i think he finished his last (4th) at around 9pm...... Its only +- 450 km (if you include the few km back to the start)..... all in a days work for F_R_A_I_L .....

Doing the 21km for a 3rd time ...... training well dont do any. just pitch up and hope for the best on the day ....lol finished both before the 3h /3h10m min cut off .....(2:45 or there abouts is my time) and yes i am looking forward to it.... might even train this year.....like Meezo said. lots of time this year to train after argus ..... oh yes must still train for that event as well ....

Less than the going rate of our sport / hobby

Stopped counting about 3 months after i started cycling (that was 4 years ago). since then both my boys started cycling..... So excluding event entries and accomodation and transport i have spent on the following in the last 4 years. 3 Road bikes Track bike 2 mountain bikes Convertion of hybrid to single speed Taking the cost above into account .... average R1250.00 Oh yes ..... that excluded new wheels,tyres,tubes,and kit...... add another R300.00 per month so.... now lets see how many pairs of shoes my wife bought over the same period .......

Don’t lose faith in this beautiful country of ours… Over December we had visitors from overseas ( Saudi Arabia to be precise). They forgot a packet somewhere on the V & A (they only discovered the evening when they got home that they missing a packet). A few days later when they were there again they made an enquiry at info…… and what do you know. They forgot it in a shop and the attendant took it to info just in case the owners came to look for it…. So there is still some honest people in the country ….
