Yoh, fasted 99km I've ever ridden, so thanks I guess to the guys from %, A and B that started with our group, but on the other hand averaging 43km/h from the start trying to navigate circles and speedbumps until we were out side the city, no thanks. And when E caught D it became a **** show of two groups worth of riders riding in an echelon trying to stay out of the wind into oncoming traffic. Rider 608 needs a special mention for littering...

Funny how that works! I was once buzzed the official Tygerberg MTB club bakkie, while on my MTB. He must have though I looked like I enduro flick in berms

I tried tubes for all of 2 weeks on the Tygerberg trails in summer before giving up. Even with sealant I've had thorns that the sealant struggled with. No thanks...

That was a lot of fun! Remember to bring the lube guys, lots of new chains going to be required come Monday

If you take MTB seriously you'll outgrow that bike within a year and depending on how hard you ride it will be fixed more than actually riding. My first cheap MTB I went through something like 3 axles and 1 bottom bracket in 6 months. The chain lasted longer

Thanks for the feedback. From my understanding there is no o-ring. I've made arrangements with another shop who will send it on to Omnico. Hopefully the first LBS didn't end up voiding the warranty with their shenanigans

Best bikes durbanville... I've stopped using them even before the latest headache. This just adds to the list of reason why I'll never go back.

Meh, at this point I'd rather just buy some shimano deore's and take it to Knipe...

What are my options here? I would preferably want to by pass this LBS completely, every time I've taken one of my bikes to get serviced it's come back with more issues that it went in with. They're communication is non-existent and they have zero QA on serviced bikes.

Hi Bought a new bike end of last year, since the beginning the rear brake (TRP Slate Evo) has had issues. I though it just needed a bleed but even after a bleed the problems persisted. So I just took more notice of the brake and soon realized that it was leaking out the bleed port screw when out on the trails. So I took it in to be checked out, the bike shop in question apparently reached out to Omnico, which apparently sent a 'new' bleed screw which they replaced. However this 'new' screw looks very similar to the one they replaced it with, how do I know? Well the screw looks like it's been inserted by a drunk person in pitch black darkness. The only new thing I do however notice is the strands of plumbers tape, surely this is not recommended or expected from a brand new set of calipers?
