So, hier is nou jou geleentheid... Kom ons sit die griewe op die tafel, en kyk of ons dit kan uitsorteer. Alternatiewelik, as jy voel dat dit die Hub beter sal baat om dit nie op die ope forum te doen nie, kan ons dit per PM probeer beredder?
  10. Thanks Racman and all the other Hubbers for the support and well wishes!!! and regarding detractors... It's like I said in the previous post: I really could not care a continental whether they have sour grapes, whether they think we are unbelievably pathetic or whether they think winning the Kremetart is special or not... I really really don't care!!! So they must just Get over it!!!
  11. Will most certainly be doing the MTB thing!!!!

  13. InsideMan... Thanks for you concern re our blatant self promotion, And my sincerest apologies for being so unbelievably pathetic and being the cause of your discomfort, nausea, bitterness and you sour grapes... Would like to draw you attention to a couple of points though... Please read this post carefully to familiarize yourself with the following facts!!! 1. the Title "Great Coverage TCS" clearly has TCS in the Subject heading, leaving you with absolutely NO Doubt whatsoever to what this post Will all be about!!! 2. I you have such an aversion to TCS, Why are you reading these TCS related posts???3. this Post was not started by any TCS Member, nor contains any self promotion from any of the TCS Members!!! 4. We have already got our own www.weloveTCSandarehavinglotsoffunwhileridinbicyclesanddontcareaboutsourgrapelosers.co.za website thanks. 5. Yep, We were there, we rode the best race that we could, we are loud, we are proud, we did in fact Win the Kremetart, and to us, that is Very Very Special!!!! 6. Point is... You are not having a tenth the amount of fun we are having whilst riding our bicycles or winning silly little fun rides...7. There are actually quite a number of people, on and off the Hub that do share our enthusiasm, and are sharing our happiness with us for the "Lucky Funride Win" that we managed to pull off. 8. I really could not care a continental whether you have sour grapes, whether you think we are unbelievably pathetic or whether you think winning the Kremetart is special or not... I really really don't care!!! So Get over it!!! One final request... PLEASE DO NOT read any posts that have TCS in the Header or any posts in the TCS Virtual Clubhouse Forum... It will most certainly only cause you an amount of discomfort, nausea, sour grapes, bitterness, and in extreme cases, violent bowel movements.
  14. Revolutionary Independent Magnetic Suspension Announced Bicycle manufacturer Klein has announced the development of an Independent Magnetic Suspension (I.M.S.) for its new line of cross country bikes. The revolutionary frame comes in two pieces, and features innovative Independent Magnetic Suspension technology developed in Germany. Apparently the frame is magnetic, and the power of magnetic attraction and repulsion ensures that the front and rear of the bicycle remain upright, yet allowing sufficient flex to soak up bumps. The photograph below shows a protype of the frame being used in race conditions for the first time. Production is expected to begin in 2005. You need to look very closely to appreciate the mystery and marvel of this technology. http://www.geocities.com/verdrahciretop/bikes1.jpg

  19. And a special thanks to Andrew McLean!!!! Thanks for all the mention and the coverage Andrew!!! It gives the small teams so much more to work for when we get mentioned as well and get some exposure, It's really exciting to see our efforts recognized on TV Just one more example of your efforts to further cycling in South Africa!!!! Thanks Again!!!!
  20. Apologies to some for not warning you beforehand about the excessive TCS exposure on Supercycling last night... but we didn't think it would be so much or so great... Sorry!!!! Thanks to everyone else for the good wishes!!!! It was the culmination of lots of hard work, (and lots of fun getting there!!!) Needless to say, I was VERY VERY Proud last night!!!!! Thanks Again!!!
  21. Dear Jaques, <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> With an attitude like that, I'm afraid you won't be hosting very many successful cycling events in the future either, Neither Road nor MTB!!! I'm one of the people that was critical of the Tzaneen Tour Entry Price, and justifiably so. I very much enjoyed the last Tzaneen Tropical Tour, and for one rated it as one of the top three races on the racing calendar. Huge was the disappointment when the Tzaneen tour was back on the calendar, but at three times the price of the previous editions. At R 1200.00 or even reduced to R 930.00 a rider, the Entry Fee WILL NOT FLOAT, as you have learnt at you own considerable expense. When we tried to bring that point to your attention however, you chose to ignore that and your replies were arrogant, dismissive and impetuous!!! The math is pretty simple, at R 1200.00 per rider you barely managed to get 40 riders to enter. (120 Riders!!!! What do you also think cyclist can?t count either???) Halve the price to R 600.00 per rider and you would have had a minimum of 120 - 150 Riders enter guaranteed and would have had a much better chance of getting 200 riders to the line. At R 1200.00 per rider and your arrogant attitude??? NO CHANCE!!!! You want to get families involved, that?s great and that?s how I want to be involved in cycling too, but at R 1000 per person with a cycling family of 3 (or a TCS cycling family of 8) plus accommodation and toll fee?s, petrol, traveling, etc, etc you ARE NOT going to get families involved. Did you think that cyclist are all that gullible and easy to part with their money without expecting value for money??? What makes you think that roadies do not ride MTB as well either??? There are only so many active cyclist in the country, road or MTB, and a lot of them ride both road and MTB, and we speak to one another as well, and now we also know that RealityEvents is only in it for the Money and is actually the one that behaves like a spoilt brat because very little people could eventually afford the high cost of the tour that was going to be your cash cow!!!!!!! By the Way? What have you done for cycling, or to develop cycling in <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />South Africaon>?? I?m sorry EduardoBianchi, you unfortunately do not speak for the wider cycling community in this regard, as everyone that I have spoken to about the Tzaneen Tour felt pretty much that the cost was excessive and that the Tzaneen Tour would not get the necessary numbers together at that price to make it viable, otherwise there would have been in excess of 200 riders Oh! By the way? Cruxpearl is called Carel Smith and my email address is carel@tcsn.co.za (all very easily accessible on my nick as well) and Cell no is 083 325 1575 Oh Yes, one last thing? you are very much mistaken if you really believe that road cycling is a dying sport? maybe bitter because the roadies didn?t support your event, but it is most certainly not dying!!! I for one really really hope that it would be possible to sort out the logistics and organization to be able to host this grear event at a reasonable cost of R 500 ? R 600 per rider, as I still think it is a great venue to have a GREAT 3 day stage race, and would very very much like to enter our club members and be there en masse, but it has to make some financial sense!!!! Kind Regards Cruxpearl Carel Smith
