  1. okay...my race... Woke up this morning feeling a bit weak (had a stomach bug Thursday to Saturday) with a stiff upper leg...went out in the race, sat in the bunch to about 30km in, was a attacked by some City Cycling club rider and a Cedar rider...I worked myself quickly from the middle of the bunch to the front...and then bridge the gap which was about 500m (Big mistake) where a few riders followed...we had a nice brake then the bunch got back to us...so sat in the front working a bit, I knew I didnt have the legs today but will help where I can, so worked in the front so touristvista and Grant can save some energy....touristvista done a attack where I wanted to follow before Botmas but got boxed in...for some reason they marked me (As Spat mentioned)...anyway went okay over, felt my power just not being there, worked more and more with some Ashes & Brown guy, think his name is David....started getting dehydrated and with about 15km to go stopped for nice ice cold water to fill my bottle with a other DeVere guy (forgot your name, sorry)....chased the bunch almost in again and think they only managed a minute or 2 on me in the end...but overall a very tiring ride, will be resting now and go back to the training board....will be back at the Rollercoaster all ready...awesome experience over Botmas though, my climbing aint that bad since dropping 13kg's since November Spat, Touristvista, Grant & friend......you guys done well.
  2. haha this is funny
  3. I stay close to Tyger Valley, I normally do Bottelary, R304, Klapmuts, R44 and back....nice variety of flat route and rollers....drop me a PM when you here and you can join me sometime
  4. good service
  5. Thnx man, had a bit of a tummy bug, hope I didnt get to dehydrated! See you there
  6. Okay, after being a bit p'd off earlier this week due to problems with my frame I would like to apologise to CWC! I know things came out a bit wrong, like normally I was just super excited to continue training and wanted my bike ready within a day but unfortunately it was not possible due to small technical misunderstanding with a missing part when they replaced my frame...I would like to apologise and hereby would still be going to your shop asking for discount on your already low prices as I always do while enjoying my Saturday Vanilla Latte at Coffee Republic In future I can recommend anyone who has got a problem rather talk to Chris jnr or Snr directly as they will sort it out right there....valuable experience learned is that email correspondence aint a way to do things, pick up the phone rather...or get face to face, like the way me and him sorted it out. Thnx for sorting out the wheel issue, I am looking forward to take my TF2 to the race on Sunday...and trying my best as always showing off my Fondriest... so Chris...I will sponsor you a beer next time!! PS: I aint very good at apologies, but I apologise.
  7. haha! How is that for a speeding ticket
  8. my new frame....
  9. I probably would have done the same if I was the supplier. Its like importing a car, engine blow and you want the SA Maintenance plan to cover it....nah!
  10. SRAM...once you try it, you will never change. Had Shimano, changed to Force....LOVE IT!
  11. Not anymore, drives a X6 now My friend does not own anything, don't work, but drives a Focus ST...
  12. Dude, this is a forum, we allowed to state the problems, I dont have a problem with Chris or whoever, if they don't know about problems happening they won't know how to fix it, by stating it on the site they know where main problems is as they always online here and like reading peples comments then they know where they can go to fix it...They know I was upset already, I dont want anything from them in return, will still pop in sometimes and chat to Chris and whoever, I just think the service department can become a bit more efficient, however the sales people is very good and I always pop in for a quick chat to Tankman, etc...if I get sucky service from your shop I will go tell people, I will tell you as well....it's like buying a car, if you bought a Mercedes with problems I will tell Mercedes, but I will also tell other people as there was a issue...it is not like we go to hellopeter and go say it on there...
  13. That is my coach!
  14. love it!
  15. I will do the same! a bike can be replaced, and one criminal less! whoo hoo!
  16. that is great man!
  17. My main concern is water...however...I think the problem is I take big gulps of water, I should rather just do small amounts, I have been trying this method over at the 24h Oak Valley race as was able to do 2hours on one bottle....so I am sure I can do the same at the bouckaert. I just struggle a bit with my mouth getting dry...
  18. Agree 100%
  19. where can I find the results?
  20. I would love a heading like this...'Bike muggers driven over and killed when running off with a bike...' or something like that.... Awesome about the people helping others!
  21. I disagree there, I have a current E seeding, I cycled myself up from H with a few people tagging along, the criteria for STARS should be D-F, thats it...no G, H or I...I average +-35km/h by myself in my races with a few who is in the same leaque, you will see looking at the Tour de PPA results the times wernt to bad. Will look at the bouckaert what will happen, but you do get people like myself who train almost every morning and take things seriously to get somewhere....but they need a marshall and thhe 2 clubs mentioned before is the main problem.
  22. The questions should be....for how long will it be safe. Raptor, lets set up a army and we go in there
  23. that is true, maybe they must offer some compulsary classes to all league racers Yep, picking new frame up today, should be ready by tomorrow evening
  24. It is like driving a car, sometimes you need some common knowledge....some of them don't think, its easy...keep a straight line, dont swerve all over the road....I aint a pro either, but some things you should just know....it is probably the same people who rides like this who skips red robots and who takes up the whole road on training rides.... will see you this Sunday
