Sikaflex 11FC - Sticks like sh*t ! Will not react with Aluminium as it is not acid based. Silicone on the other hand is acid based. Sikaflex retails for +- R125 inc at most hardware shops. Here is the Technical specification Sikaflex-11FC.pdf

Had another incident on early morning Boxing day near Schoenmakerskop, Port Elizabeth. The backseat passenger of an oncoming car deliberately smashed a bottle on the road just in front of me so that the broken glass could spray me. Fortunately I had sunglasses on and only suffered a very small cut on my leg. I have not been back on the road since, and will only be back from 16th Jan when hopefully some sanity returns to our roads.

Maxxis Ardent 2.25 great high volume, high profile trail tyre. Surprisingly, rolling resistance is also not that bad for an aggressively threaded tyre. Probably one of the most underrated tyres around.

Just got some good news. The 2 bike jackers were found guilty and sentenced to 8 years in jail!

If I had to think up a plausible reason, it would be because of the thin "arms" holding up the disc contact area could be at risk of inward collapse under extreme load if placed the wrong way round. Ps - I am guessing here! - would also like to get an official reason from a manufacturer..

Slightly off the topic, but who else has noticed the rotors on this often used picture is wrong way round?
