The field will be smaller, but yes its going ahead. This quoted 10 min ago: Due to waterlogged conditions on the course, organisers of The Herald VW Cycle Tour have announced changes to Saturday's mountain bike routes. Although the races will still go ahead as scheduled, race director Brad Jackson said certain single-track sections would be cut from the 80km Extreme and 60km Adventure for safety reasons. He said they would do their best to keep as close to the original distances as possible. Updates will be posted on social media.

I have also pre-entered, but after my previous expensive mudbath experience I had at the Katberg Mtb Challenge, I will probably chicken out of this one.

Sorry to be the bearer of doom & gloom, but I have just received official confirmation from the organizers that the singletrack had to be cut out of the race. The race will still go ahead though.
