  1. Or of course you could get Campag Centaur from Totalcycling and ask them to substitute the cranks for Chorus carbon cranks - mine came in around R6800 landed. But if you are a shimaNO fan then Ultegra is good (of course I mean for a shimaNO fan, not compared to Campy)
  2. Hey Pantani, I can't wait to see the pictures of your new white shoes with the gold stripes, gold shoe laces and the custom embroidery work in gold: "king of Bling". I think you can also get carbon look toe and heel end covers for shoes as well. Just remember though, I think you are also not allowed to cross the white line in Road Running
  3. Johan, do yourelf a favour nd chekc here: http://www.totalcycling.com/index.php/product/parts_accessories/groupsets_road/index.html Add R250 for shipping and 14% vat. If you are prepared to wait 5-10 days its worth it. I ordered most of my parts fom them and no problems. You could have 2008 Chorus for about R9500 which is a bargain!!! racman2007-12-20 08:55:49
  4. what?!!! How did you manage to post on the hub at a coffee shop. Did you take a laptop with you or was it an internet cafe? Where the photos to prove it - of the pass not the coffee shop
  5. I generally prefer to coach people with power meters. I find it very difficult to monitor progress etc on purely HR. I feel so rejected !!!! (Seriously though Bruce - that's why I added the Power meter quip in the initial post. As much as I would love to get one - it's not on the cards (even credit cards) yet, so knew it would exclude me from some coaching - I understand completely)racman2007-12-19 09:39:59
  6. Oops - sorry, Thought the newest member was Madonna but it's actually "Madone" as in Afrikaans "Pull" model!!!!
  7. Mmmm, must be a tough bsiness coaching in SA as it doesn't look like too many peole want to reccommend one. (unless of course no one wants to admit to using one - that old "I hardly ever train" sucker punch )

  9. Ok, any info and reccomendations for Online Coaching etc for Training & Nutrition? (NO, I don't have a power meter and it doesn't seem that Santa will hear my request for one for Christmas either) Coaches are welcome to "pm" me with contact details as well. racman2007-12-19 00:12:20
  10. Sounds like it's just "upgrade fever" that's altering your perception. Come on - give in to it, you know you want to !!!!
  11. I am looking at getting a series of IDT training DVD's for someone as a Christmas gift. Anyone have any comments or any suggestions on which are suitable for seriouse IDT training. Person is avg cyclist and wants to improve and do specific training ie intervals etc on IDT. I have seen a variety on Amazon.com and one box set but am unsure which to get.racman2007-12-13 23:30:10

  16. Hey C you're right on that one - check my other post on TdW. Next time I will introduce myself and ask politely to be included in your bus and not try and hang on at the back !!!
  17. Mmmm - it's spelt Brest not BREAST !!! (what DID you do in Paris now?)
  18. I wish I was in a position to justify crossing the white line, but unfortunately even if I did, no one would notice. Hell I barely crossed the yellow line!!!)
  19. Saw a photograher or two along the way and was wondering who was taking the photos?
  20. My first year of cycling after an 8year layoff (and countless kg lay-on!!) Highlights: 1) The DC - amazing event, much better than Argus IMHO 2) First Argus 3) Watching Robbie get so close and eventually win the Tdf Stage. Even the "boss" was shouting with excitement!! Lowlights: 1) Trying to keep up with Colonel and his "boys in pink" and C50 at this weekends TdWinelands and getting dropped at about 15km (or was it only 5 - hanging around at the back of the bus didn't help but it was the doors were "closed" ). I knew I shouldn't have done the 80km ride on saturday but it's the first race that I felt like packing it in after 20km !!! Totally demoralised (hung on to finish in 3h10 though) racman2007-12-10 05:55:10
