  1. Im wondering wtf a support vehicle was doing on track.
  2. Strategy lol.
  3. I prefer mtb races, the guy in front most of the time working the hardest to win actually wins. Not all this points based bullsh!t.
  4. Hey have to give Sagan some respect, yeah sure he aint making any friends out there but who at age 22, first time TDF have achieved what that laaitjie achieved in 2 races? Granted im waiting for him to bomb on the mountain stages.
  5. Start choosing your next drivetrain and order your new brake pads, its going to be a mud fest.
  6. I now carry three bombs have had to use a bomb after a plug, and then had to use a bomb after a tear, and then totally ripped the tear and had to use a tube. All in one fun race.
  7. Yeah the XTC is massive, you could keep half your fridge and garage in that thing.
  8. Isnt the octane huge..... let me google it.
  9. you were misinformed, stuffing crap in your back pockets is "race snake like" and uber cool. Not dying of thirst while having all your goodies nicely packed away and being all comfortable is totally uncool. Jeez do some research.
  10. Since when is "getting it" a hub prerequisite?
  11. well on news24 or iol cant remember which they posed the question and the legislation around it, and to sumarize 1. you can stay inside the yellow land and drive in there if you have an medical emergency. 2 . you are allowed to cross into the yellow lane to allow vehicles past but only if you have 150m visibility.
  12. another fun topic, negatives of a saddlebag, 1 its noisy and irretating, 2, they come loose or the mounting brackets break off, 3, how many people have you seen looking for their wallets and keys and phones once the zipper openend up accidently. I will only use one on stage races where i need to carry additional spares, otherwise everything i need is in my camelback "which i know you dont like" but its stil the best device in my opinion to carry stuffs.
  13. Admin this is the third thread in this regard maybe merge?
  14. epic cycles diepriver
  15. I am having major issues with our "online" providers not having stock. This month alone, wanted Maxxis Ardents, been checking cwc and its listed on the site for months as out of stock. Wanted XL santini's checked the sites only CWC had them,,, oh wait nope no stock, Wanted to buy XT brakes, CWC has a double standard here, the item thats conveniantly out of stock is R2399 (silver XT) and the black ones they do have stock is R2999. Ok go to buycycle, and yay they have black and silver in stock at a decent price R2400 for a set but need want icetech rotors to go with the brake set, and oops either no stock or only 160mm in stock nobody has 180. Even though most 29'ers run 160/180 configurations. Then decided I want to put an 11-36 cassette on the bike, my drivetrain is SRAM so go to CWC click on the 10spd XG link and geuss what ... no @#$ing stock. ok so go to CRC Ardents oooh in stock XT with ice tech rotors 160/180mm in stock Santini XL in stock XG cassette 11-36 in stock ORDER PLACED!!! problem solved.
  16. Hogwash, CRC had to repost one of my orders 4 times due to it going missing in our lovely SA postal system, they had no problems doing it. Just mailed them order gone, and woot they mail you back saying order resent.
  17. So Burry kicked butt at the windham XCO race, Well done to him. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Windham-XC-UCI-World-Cup-2012.html
  18. Tracks like a 5 dollah vietnamese hooker dude.
  19. I owned a sterling for about 4 hours before i resold it, looks like a bubble on your head sticking out half a meter on each side, ill stick to Giro.
  20. Bos i dont want to argue either but its always better to learn and practice the right techniques from the onset, that way you dont develop bad habits than is almost imposble to get rid off. A great movie if you can get hold of it is dirtschool, I just re watch it, and then think about how i ride and I notice how bad habbits keep on creeping back into my riding, then it takes conscious effort to practice practice practice till my technique is where it should be.

  22. Is that even possible?
  23. Can only hold about 5 beers while my camelback can take 3L of the good stuff. And to the noobs BTW, your bottlecage, can actually hold a bottle of wine really well, so go shopping when you hit a wine farm.
  24. Nope when you turn you bend your inside knee and step down with your outside leg and heel in the turn, this forces the tire to grip the poster was right you put weight on the outside, (it allows you to lean the bike which puts more rubber in contact with the turn so you dont just rail on your sideknobs) Also most people think when you turn you need to take weight off the handlebars thats also incorrect, you shift slightly forward to put weight on the front end to enable more grip.
  25. Ever look at your statements and transaction costs? They are the most expensive bank in africa.
