I ride with this combo (Rocket Ron - front; Racing Ralph - back) all year round, no issues. Well I did on my full-sus anyway. Haven't had the 29'er long enough to comment on that setup.

My first ride on a 29er was on the Giant XTC 29er. Really liked the bike! Second one was the Momsen, which I thought was very good value for money. Ended up buying the Scott Scale 29er Elite, which I'm very happy with! Got my bike from Chris Willemse... So go pop in at the shop and ask for Jaco.

Got the 2011 version... loving it!!
