  1. Outsurance all the way , agree Cyclesure suck, left them years ago.
  2. JUST BECAUSE ITS BLACK DOES NOT MEAN ITS CARBON ,a year or two ago some guys were actually dyeing conventional E-Glass black and calling it carbon, and yes there were failures, I am not saying its the case here though. E-Glass is your standard fibreglass filament, commonly used in most composite applications. R3SL
  3. You sound like a Maxxis Crossmark user, old Stans used to delaminate them, I agree with you 100%. Bummer no more warranty claims on tyres.
  4. 2 months on average, comes via registered mail, dunno why it takes so long as there are not a lot of us. R3SL
  5. About 20 or so of us meet at Pick n Pay Steenberg ( next to REDDAM HOUSE) at 7:15 pm every Thursday night , ride for about 2 hrs, R3SL. Do not park at Tokai after dark in the Arbouretum , cars have been brocken into there. R3SL
  6. Done that event 4 years in a row , great for a non tech rider, R3SL
  7. 110% AGREE, R3SL
  8. Use oil rather , grease causes chain suck as there is to much resistance. R3SL Example Mavic specify only oil, and so does American Classic. I have found that shock oil works well as its quite thick , if its a Mavic wheel use only mineral oil as the seals will be affected otherwise. R3SL
  9. Its because the service is so KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK and they are always out of stock, its a real pity as they they are sitting on a potential goldmine , but the news has got around that they always run out of everything etc etc , 6 of us went there for a meal and they only had enough food for 4 of us, R3SL
  10. I personally feel there isnt an actual "FACTOR" its some crap someone dreams up once a month, as said before the adjusted winners time is often not an achievable time. Who has ever done a Cobra 2H10, BLOODY NOBODY, same applies to the Burger last year. Never seen them add time when the conditions are like HURRICANE KATRINA,
  11. Must just get some RED frog stickers for your frame
  12. Hi Scultura, WELL DONE, FORCE rocks , been using force for two years as well, RED is great but not worth the difference in $$$$$. I will never go back to Shamano. As the saying go's SRAM sounds like a train but flies like a plane. ENJOY -R3SL.
  13. 110% Luke,What I do not understand is I normally finish in the first third of my group and always within the first half however my seeding for those particular events are almost always two groups lower than my current group.Secondly the adjusted winners time has to be an achievable winning time , which n some cases is not at all. The net result being the Elite winner in some cases is not even getting an A seeding for winning the event. PPA is losing huge credibility , at this rate the back markers will have double letter seeded no's. R3SL
  14. AGREED-GOOD CALL. R3SL
  15. 110% correct, I have always found it comes down to tyre pressure 9,5 bar minimum. R3SL
  16. BB30 is lighter than GXP
  17. Never use tyre liners mate , rather put sealant in a tube , works well and is light, tyre liners do not allow the tyre to roll/stretch etc etc which has a negative effect on the performance of the tyre. But tubeless is still tops, when it comes to reliability, never had a flat on tubeless. R3SL
  18. I have got a Thule Euro and it is great . Why look at options when we all know Thule is good. R3SL
  19. When you have a guy on your rear wheel, play with him , DO NOT PICK UP THE PACE , wait for him to pass and sit on his wheel until you get a gap, normally a climb, THEN ATTACK HIM, the secreet is not to let guys push up your pace from behind and tire you out, otherwise you going to get a big hiding. R3SL
  20. BIBS ,BIBS, BIBS, Baggies rub up and down your leg while riding , huge irritation. R3SL.
  21. GIRO PROLIGHT , is there anything else?
  22. Monorail /Crossmark mix at the moment , only realy works on hardpack surface , going over to Specialized.
  23. Yip it is very crap, small correction there JohnnyReggae "WHAT TREES" most have been cut down, but YA been doing the same thing, I have noticed there are a good few sets of deep section wheels for sale !!!!!!!!!!!! at really cheap prices, not suprised.
  24. I feel for you mate , happened to me as well , cost me $70-00.I now book flights based on TOTAL WEIGHT LIMITS, ie 40kg , when they say certain items ie golf bags are free etc,(BE CAREFULL) it seems to only apply in certain countries/airports etc etc, different taxes and duties , ITS A TOTAL %$#@ UP. I have had no prolems on Emirates with my bike flying to East Asia, ps Singapore will charge if you fly Singapore Airlines. Also make sure your baggage is collected at your final destination otherwise you could get nailed twice. Good Luck and make sure your bike is insured as some airlines are now getting you to sign a waiver in the event of your bike being damaged during handling. R3SL
