  1. Spot the giraffe peering at us in the background. (Mtbking81 and Zoo Cookie) Mandibles2009-01-01 10:21:25
  2. Here's some photos of this morning's Hub Ride. (Am battling to upload them so will have to do one photo at a time)
  3. Thanks for the wishes Ronelle. HR is fine. He's just unable to connect to the internet. He's going to be at the Hub mtb ride in a few hours time so I will pass on your wishes to him.
  4. Happy New Year Hubbers. Lovely stormy weather here in Centurion to see in the new year.
  5. Konaman, the event isn't in March. It takes place Easter weekend in April. Pietermaritzburg is fairly small so most B 'n B's will be within 15 mins drive of Cascades. I haven't tried these myself but they are very close to Cascades: Belle Cottage address: 12 Davenport Rd, Montrose, Pietermaritzburg, 3201, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa telephone: +27 (0)33 347 3141 fax: +27 (0)33 347 1083 from 180 ZAR And another one: http://www.safarinow.com/go/GeckoHill/ See you there!
  6. I'm riding around there with my Sani2C teammate. Going to attempt to get him into shape by dragging his lazy butt up every hill (or if he is fitter than me then he will be doing the dragging). Not sure how long my teammate is planning on riding for, but I suspect my coach will want me to do a LSD session of between 3 to 5 hrs.

I agree with David#7's suggestion. Sounds like the most accurate indicator.

It all depends on who you ask. A few years ago I did a 5:30 94.7 and then a few months later I did 3:15 at the H2H.
  10. Ok. Will PM you my contact details.
  11. when i finally got round to buying something to hang mine on' date=' and when i showed the boys, they were horrified! they and kelly had bought me a set for xmas! the totally gold ones! i didn't let on, but told kelly that she should let them know, subtley, that i "need" a full pair for my bike! what do you reckon? should i put them on the spesh? or the trance. i toyed with the idea of putting them on the alice b toeclips bike as an extra accent, but the gold is "brighter" and more "orange"* than the gold anodised hubs on the last bike. (*use of quotation marks signifies holy doesn't have a clue, cos he's colour-dyslexic.) [/quote'] Wish I could've seen their faces! You can actually put them on any of your bikes in my humble opinion (Hub Style Man might disagree). My red jockey wheels get dirty so quickly and you barely notice the colour. Keeping them clean is near impossible.
  12. You should know the answer to that. Just think about our jockey wheel "jewellery"
  13. hey, would you be able to take the cuppa to groenies on wednesday? For sure! Excellent idea.
  14. man' date=' mandibles, i was kinda blown away! she's staring at me now with longing...[/quote'] Take her for a quick spin around the block.
  15. Wow Holy! That's so cool! What a nice Christmas surprise.
  16. When do you want to go through? I might be able to help you.
  17. Agteros, yip, everything in moderation. It is 1 tablespoon of peanut butter per day, or a handful of nuts, or half a small avocado. Can't remember the olives quantity but think it is 6 or 8.
  18. Be careful with the peanut butter' date=' there are a lot of fats in there as well...Eg: Nola' Yum Yum (what I have here...) per 100grams:20.4g protein56.2g fat (more than half of it is fat!!!)[/quote'] Isnt Black Cat the only one aproved by the heart foundation??Most probably because of the 0% cholestrol claim (as do Nola)Have a look at http://img266.imageshack.us/my.php?image=20040831newlid7pa.jpg which shows Black Cat at 50.2g grams of fats per 100g of peanut butter, better yeah but only numerically, still > 50% fats I went to a dietician recently and was told to have either peanut butter(sugar free one), nuts, avocado or olives on a daily basis. All of these contain fats but they are good fats.
  19. Buy a solar panel charger mat. I know it works for charging cellphones and camera batteries etc.
  20. I got a quote from them this week and it was R130 more than Pedalcare. My household and car insurance is with Outsurance so I thought that they would give me a decent rate as I have never claimed and have been a client of theirs for over 7 years now.
