  1. Short bans for dopers are not that effective imo. Perhaps Di Luca tried going clean, got 0 results, then reached for the needles again. I think this is the case with Ricco too, and more riders in the peleton. So they are faced with a situation of no dope, no results, no job. Rater take them out of the sport completely.
  2. Are those ammounts for real? Looks like peanuts comoared to other sports like golf, soccer etc, and it will be shared in the tean.
  3. As in "extraterrestrial"? It seems to go hand in hand with the Astana kit.....
  4. The rule will work both ways - if there is a line of cars at a stop sign, a cyclist approaching should stay 1.5m away from the cars. I guess that means stopping at the back of the line.
  5. .......... and the crank is not pretty either, imo.
  6. All gone. Dale = the remover for this test. Love watching him bowl when he is fired up. Having Philander to bowl in tandem with him is awesome. The #1 ranking system does not work right, imo. Perhaps it was biased to make Aus look less dominant in the previous decade. We should be a lot further ahead of England and Aus imo, after beating both in away series. Pakistan will be a serious challenge. They have great spinners and fast bowlers, plus batsmen who can play. Mohammad Ifran, one of their fast bowlers, is 7'1" tall. They will contest on bouncy pitches, and their spinners will be a hand full on 4th and 5th days.
  7. Full cream, 2% and fat free foams differently. Was the fat % the same?
  8. Some more Pez project bikes, for those interested. Parlee Z1 http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=5544 Serotta Meivici http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=7853 Lynskey Helix http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=7361 Colnago EPS "Valention Rossi" http://www.pezcyclingnews.com/?pg=fullstory&id=7177 (none black though, so Im just posting the links to these. Z5 and the EPS are the best looking ones imo)
  9. You can order the Z5 with custom paint...
  10. Best looking Look yet imo. I wonder if the post is uncut, saddle to bar drop looks hectic.
  11. + black hubs
  12. Is it dark blue, or black? Much nicer colours than last year.
  13. Somebody forgot to tell that to my Record 10 speed ergopower levers.
  14. Some here, too: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=1881&BrandID=465
  15. Of the 3 on your list, the Colnago has the most comfort. However, it is by no means a "comfortable" frame, but if you only have a minor lower back issue, it should be fine. The Specialized Roubaix has the softest vertical vibration qualities of the data I have seen, withthe zerts inserts etc, if you want to broadenyour search. Also consider a custom frame, with geometry and design to your requirements. Parlee and Sarto also worth checking out.
  16. There should be good discounts on 7900 soon
  17. Perhaps you should wait a bit and get dura ace 9000 (11 speed), the brand new 11 speed gruppo will start selling from this month. Rear shifting is much better than outgoing 10 speed 7900 dura ace.
  18. I think we should bat out the day, have a think at lunch tomorrow, and bowl again after tea tomorrow, when our bowlers have had a day to rest.
  19. Agree. Failure in OP's pic looks similar, but no point in speculating further. Even more pointless to go ape about Cannondale, carbon fibre, QA process, country of manufacture etc.
  20. Velo a good option if you want to put the hammer down. Nice thing about velo is they have mtb and road groups.
  21. My best suggestion would be the Bruce Reynecke rides, Select cycling club http://www.selectcyclingclub.co.za/ Not exclusive to 50+, but last time I saw there were a fair group of older riders there.
  22. Powershot A490. It struggles in low light with focus, indoor pics are often blurred. It has survived mtb so far, but I wont cry much when it dies.
  23. I got myself a 10Mp Cannon "mik & druk" cheapie to take with on the bike, it is a frustrating little thing, but sometimes the light and my limited know-how shoots a half decent pic or 2. Im not in your league, though, Dangle, your pics are amazing. I lust after a 650D for more serious pics, but then there is also a decent spec 29er, pimp road wheels, TDF camping trip etc. on that list.....
  24. The pros use them on road bikes to get their upper bodies as low and aero as possible, to save energy when the break or sprint. They often ride with the stem "slammed" (no spacers) too. Non pros do it because the pros do it. I think these stems are seen on mtbs when a road fit is transferred to mtb (not always a great idea for handling)
  25. Some pics I have not posted from the Sani2C http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8220/8264290335_217aea0872_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8197/8264290441_602919a7fd_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8219/8264290493_aabd2e5645_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8063/8264290599_cb2ce8985a_z.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8343/8264290655_26bf996b6c_z.jpg
