I used Cortisone cream that I got from Dis-Chem. Found it to be very effective to sort out more than one that I accumilated over the holiday season.

The joining fee and card fee is a bit of a rip off, money for jam for the gym. As stated you get what you pay for. I have a national membership and go about four-five times a week so for me it's good value for money. If you have kids under 18 they can go for free as well although you will have to pay R120 card fee per kid.

I have been using them for about 4 years with the bar ends. Would never change to any thing else. Don't have a problem with numbness in my hand or fingers and find them super comfortable. Never had a problem or a feeling of lack of grip or control of the bars. My new 29er that I got towards the end of last came with normal grips. Lasted two rides before I fitted a set of these. I found the normal grips so uncomfortable.
