  1. Nooooo, only a R100 more and you could have got an Aeropress An Aeropress smokes a French press by a country mile and they don't shatter when dropped and dropped they will be... I'm not sure about that, I've tried both and the Importer branded stuff is garbage and the Checkers single origin is one of the best supermarket coffee I've tasted.
  2. Sad news A foolproof litmus test...any seller that requests some form of cash send, ie not an EFT = a guaranteed scammer. I have probably bought hundreds of goodies sight unseen online over the years from various forum classifieds and not once have I ever paid in any manner other than EFT. Nor has any other payment method ever been requested. Not that paying by EFT is proof a seller is fully legit but the point is these days any other method is virtually guaranteed to be a scammer.
  3. Live by the sword die by the sword. It's a process known as consequences.
  4. Stay far away, what kind of person has no bank account.... a scammer type of person
  5. I find your comment deeply offensive and presumptous, nevermind wishing evil on someone doesn't seem to be terribly biblical, or is it [emoji848][emoji848] But really now, what about the other 500,000+ make believe deities that Patchelicious may have offended, do they not also deserve an audience and a chance at having him flogged/stoned/burnt in hellfire for all eternity??
  6. The GoPro 8 really ups the ante if you are a pro or semi pro videographer, for most weekend warriors the 5 Black is still plenty.
  7. The Park Tool Pro spoke keys are awesome, used a few different makes and they were head and shoulders above the others.
  8. It's a false sense of security when there are lots of cars around, most people are distracted or can't/won't help even if they notice you being mugged. I was once held at knife point in traffic whilst stopped at a red robot, surround by vehicles, busy time of the day and no one helped, the guys took their time rifling through my stuff and then sauntered off. Even if a decent person notices you are in trouble, what can they do other than hoot and shout, very few people are correctly trained or armed to deal with what potentially be a very dangeeous criminal.
  9. If you are in the market for the GoPro 7 Black also consider the Dji Osmo Action, I find the Action better than the 7 Black, it can go head to head in terms of stabilisation/quality and has some other cool features. It's also not as fish eye and has the clever screw on lens. The next GoPro 8 vs Osmo Action 2 is going to be mighty interesting. And finally the 2018 GoPro Hero can have the GoPro 5 Black firmware loaded on it and that converters it to a fully fledged 5 Black. The hardware on the 2 cameras is identical they just hobble the firmware on the Hero. Google for download links. The GoPro 5 black is the probably the minimum anyone should get, first GoPro with essentials like no waterproof housing needed, voice control, touch screen etc.
  10. That's good news, probably stovetop, I would have thought in an oven would be preferable?
  11. Thanks, I'm assuming those prices may drop a bit if you take quantity? How long do green beans stay fresh? And how much electricity would be needed per kg to roast them?
  12. Approx how much are the green beans per kg?
  13. Interesting, I've heard about this new form of on demand insurance. Has anyone tried it yet and claimed, not this insurer in particular just in demand insurance in general?
  14. Awesome news, good decision by Lyne.
  15. It can be done but those models that can be licensed for road use cost as much as a small car R150-250k.
  16. Looks like tea, too red for coffee?
  17. Maybe some pump and dump scheme going on, that's crazy.
  18. Photoshop!Saw some recent pics, she's aged as can expected but not nearly to the that degree.
  19. What do you call the vegetarian brother of Bruce Lee? Broco Lee

  21. Ooooooh, there goes the light banter.OP any words to offer? [emoji14]
  22. No said your bank account..
  23. What a scam by Gary Smith from Sandton, hopefully that's his real name and people googling him from now until eternity pick up this thread. Only a scammer includes a letter saying how rubbish something is and that it's all sold as is after a deal is concluded, what a chop. I'll bet you a zillion zim dollars the seller is also one of those tossers that's uses the logic "I paid R2500 for my Rudi glasses hence even being scratched up R650 is a bargain price". Despite the fact that whatever the price is they are essentially worthless, same with the helmet. Gary Smith probably legit sells his used man panties on Gumtree, "barely been used", then sneakily includes a letter in with them explaining how they have a few holes and skid marks and that they are sold as is.
  24. Be a rebel and pitch up on your carbon bike.
