  1. I went and looked at the one I'm interested in, turns out it's the version with the pod head, I'm assuming it will be stupid expensive to convert the brew head to portafilter style or whatever the machine will use for grounds? What pods do they use though, never seen anything like that?
  2. Thanks, http://www.liquidinternational.co.za/contactus/contactus.html They have spares, the pump R600 (apparently universal item used on many makes/models) and heater R3000. They used import them and then someone else got the rights and that company folded, no one currently bringing them in. Lady I spoke to said they are pretty rugged, they hardly ever get need for the heater and the pump is universal so no issue there.
  3. That's also one point I read about them, needs 20mins to heat up? That's like heating an oven wonder how much electricity that uses, 2-3 times a day may start getting a little costly relative to a 3min kettle boil.
  4. What was it like and how long did you have it for? That's what I am concerned about, buying a machine that will be worth scrap metal if it breaks. You must be able to mod/hack these machines, are there no universal kind of parts/suppliers for mechanical stuff like pumps?
  5. Bump! Has no one heard of these machine's, it seems they were being officially imported at one stage. What do people do for spares for obscure brands, how easy is it to mod a machine to use a different heating element/pump etc?
  6. Anyone used or know about the Ascaso Dream Coffee Machine's? Reviews seem mixed, either great and reliable or totally unreliable and very expensive parts. Couldn't you rebuild it with generic spares for things like heaters and thermostats? Build seems amazing, brass tank, sold die cast aluminium body, looks the part. I can get a mint 2hnd one for around R2k. Looks like this:
  7. I quite like that mudguard on the bike, so hard to make decisions on custom builds that may have so many implications for how the rest of the build fits. When you get stumped always better to leave it under a cover for a few days and start again when your mind is refreshed.
  8. Thanks Meezo, what was the grind consistency like and how fine could you get it to grind?
  9. Where did you get one from and how much did you pay? Apart from the grind what is the build quality like?
  10. This portable coffee grinder on eBay looks very promising, ceramic burr grinder for R120 incl shipping, ordered one today: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ceramic-Burr-Manual-Coffee-Grinder-Portable-Hand-Crank-Stainless-Coffee-Mill-New-/332127344890 I often look on Amazon for reviews of eBay stuff and these are all over Amazon under various guises and get good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Professional-Stainless-Operated-Espresso/dp/B017M9A1N2/ref=sr_1_6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W47J1EI/ref=psdc_14092841_t1_B013R3Q7B2
  11. What's the duties on helmets?
  12. I switched it around then, how much sediment can possibly get through, must be hardly any? A French press lets some through and I have never had any issue with that.
  13. Tokens/spacers
  14. Can they be fitted to older 26" 426 Revelations?
  15. Can you put tokens in older Revelation forks, I'm assuming you can put a token in pretty much any air fork if they are available for that particular fork or if not you could still DIY it. Do tokens help with soaking up early to mid travel small bumps etc?
  16. Are those available in Sa? What are the services like?
  17. Fine is apparently the best one for flavour. Forgot why though [emoji14]I have the fine, just make sure you rinse it immediately after each use or the oils clog up the holes and it's a pita to unblock.
  18. ^ Awesome doggy pic!
  19. That's going to be a huge repair, relay the road from foundation up.
  20. You guys know something we don't? Spill the beans.
  21. Wonder if Bike Market has a 2hnd goods trading license, if not they would probably be breaking the law by buying and selling used goods at the levels they do. Same as cash Crusaders, they have to have that's Saps certificate up on the wall that enables them to buy 2hnd goods from individuals.
  22. How does Bikehub define a reseller and what rules do they need to abide by? Do resellers have to pay for the right to use the classifieds?
  23. Ag no man, RIP Tumbles, sincere condolences to his family and friends.
  24. I'm assuming you are referencing your own sif feet/shoes? ;P
