Imagine the flood of pre-start pictures in my timeline if everyone has got the ability to post pictures right there and then .-) Experienced that in Sweden, the entire start zone and registration area was covered by free 20MB/sec wifi - and they got thousands of mentions and fb posts linking to the event, surely sponsors would love that, fork out more money and make the event even better catered. So my opinion is - even the one day events can only benefit and add some participant value by offering wifi!

yeah, often it is a "why change what's working well" matter - personally, I do manage to get lost on a trail marked by bright red things dangling of a tree, so I can't see myself being more successful trying to use my little gps 2 inch screen on my rattling handlebar..

got my cheap-ish Edge 200, trick is to upload the routes afterwards to have the ascent corrected (from barometric to actual GPS based, or something like that).

I've said it before... as long as the entire Epic sells out in 36 seconds, fully prepaid, and the majority of the field is still from SA, in the prime MTB event worldwide, surely it isn't too expensive. demand and supply. you got the cash and willingness to cycle in the Ferrari amongst races, you surely don't want to wear VW Polo.

Never change the colour of your bike. you can upgrade annually, no issues.

yes, the kid - got one of those too, and somehow the TdF recording doesn't seem to interest him more than that stupid purple dinosaurus, and when he sleeps, wife cant be impressed with me putting my IDT into the lounge and grab that remote while Greys is on... So I try and watch the recordings the next morning before work, which sucks, casue I have read all the results by then (and don't make it to gym...). dilemma of note hahah!

Did my tax return yesterday, and mentally celebrated the extra cash on my way home. Flat tyre on my car, side wall, rear tyre, replacement cost the same as the tax refund. FML. :-(
