  1. I know they are hard to find thats why I'm asking. I'm a very loyal Rocky Mountain fan. I would be happy with either 2017-2021 or a 2022. The 2017 frame design in already a lot more slack than my 2013, and as you rightly pointed out the 2022 even more. If you perhaps hear of anyone wanting to sell any RM Element Carbon frame (Large or X-Large) from 2017 to 2022 please let me know.
  2. No, there is no inverter, only a PV controller that feed a dual element directly in the geyser. When they installed, the normal geyser element was replaced with a dual element that can run on DC (PV-Sun power) and AC Eksdom, separately or simultaneously.
  3. That's very nice & useful. Unfortunately, my inverter cant/wont communicate, so I need to monitor things manually. Got 2 separate panels on my geyser and basically forget about it, I hardly ever use Eksdom to boost the geyser, even on bad sun days.
  4. I can send you the race info brochure (pdf) via email also? Send me a PM with your email address if you want it.
  5. It was per email: NUMBER COLLECTION Venue: The Polo Field at Steyn City. Access via Cedar Road gatehouse only. Click here to view the map. Number Collection Dates and times: • Friday, 11 November, 09:00 – 17:00 • Saturday, 12 November, 05h45 – 10:30 • Sunday, 13 November, 05h45 – 09:00 You will receive a WhatsApp with the link to your QR code. Please present this QR code at the Cedar Road Gate entrance for instant access to Steyn City. Follow the arrows to the collection venue and collect your race number. Mountain bikers, if you already have a SAS race board, you need not go to pre-registration on Friday. You can show up on the morning of your race on Saturday or Sunday, scan your board to see if it works and race! If you don’t have a SAS board yet and you need to pick up your number board, you are welcome to come to pre-registration on Friday. However, you can also register on the morning before your race and pick up your board then - it’s up to you. Please note: All mountain bikers will receive a virtual goody bag after your race, so there is no goody bag to be collected at registration. KIDS: Parents, you need to collect your child’s goody bag and race number on Friday or before your child’s race on Saturday.
  6. Yes I got my seeding and number collection instructions yesterday.
  7. Hahaha, I got more than 800 unit buffer but it help stuff all since we are midst an extended Eksdom power failure as @Frostypointed out. As soon as the power comes on though, I will take you up on that offer .... 🤪😂
  8. I have a 2013 Element Carbon, would love to upgrade to this frame. Please PM me with details where you got it and how badly it hit your pocket, Thanks. Edit: I will even settle for a 2017-2021 frame. What frame did you replace? Maybe one of these?
  9. Yip and sun-power is ALSO k@k today 🙈 I'm getting just enough PV to power my work PC, switched the fridge off. Batteries is getting charged VERY slowly !
  10. I got a kit like this (different brand though), perfect on my carbon frame but on the Rapidé steel frame, its completely useless ... 🤪 At the moment not a problem since I have no internal cables on it.
  11. For Lead-Acid batteries, the drain can not be too small EVER if you want them to last for a decent time period.
  12. This is flippen ridiculous, to be attacked by another cyclist ..... 😡 I'm always looking out for skelms and riding in a group with my pepper spray to be ready if and when attacked. I never thought that attack might come from a fellow cyclist !!!! Get the bastard and make him pay !
  13. Is there anyone that know how muddy Steyn City trails get after the rain or been there recently to see what the state is at the moment?
  14. Why you concerned? You on a MTB .... 🤪😁 Edit: Just don't ride behind a roadie that might get trapped in it and fall in front of you .... 😂
  15. info@lanoysports.co.za As I got it from their website above.
  16. We did it on Sunday, the smell in some places almost made me to kots, its terrible. Ridiculous that even in such a wealthy estate you also have bad areas like this .... ☹️
  17. Is there anyone that have a GPX file for the MTB route please?
  18. Agree, I had no issues with Orange Seal since I start using it. If they can only supply it in a bigger damn bottle. I sent them an email requesting it, but zero response ....
  19. Will be seeing you in J, going to be fun.
  20. Or he can pace us nicely in the J group to a good time .... 🤪😂
  21. Only problem is, unlike with cars where the steering is "assisted/easier", with this the steering force/torque required is increased, granted marginally, but still ...
  22. Look like there is some damping (not sure its of any use though!), if not the steering bar will continue to "oscillate" when let go, and that's not the case.
  23. I scrolled through OnedayOnly this morning, completely missed it, definitely going to check it out.
  24. I tend to agree. I just don't see it, but maybe when one ride it .... 🤷‍♂️ Also added weight, for something that might or might not make a huge difference ! I normally like & embrace new tech, but this one I'm going to pass on for the moment, let see where it goes, maybe we all wrong and its the next "dropper post" thing.
  25. Thanks Robert, its for a new guy we met over the weekend, I'm sure he would appreciate it very much. @117 will probably get back to you soon, I will send him a msg.
