  1. Awareness ALL THE TIME when riding goes a long way not be be caught by surprise. Observe all the time and avoid places that can provide "surprise opportunities". I like riding alone but recently prefer to seek the relative safety of a group, still need to be wide awake though ...
  2. Agree, this blindly hand over the bike thing is not for me. Assess the situation FIRST, if the odds is firmly against you, yes then by all means hand over your bike and anything else they want, if NOT, don't be a pissie, stand your ground. By doing so you might spare someone else the ordeal since the thug will think twice next time.
  3. Both are excellent, it boils down to personal preference. I prefer Fox factory, there is just something about that cashima coating ... 😁
  4. For the type of riding you describe, 100mm travel will suffice. You can consider 120 if you going to do rougher and longer stuff.
  5. Probably also prefer half finger gloves like me. I never had a issue of fingers slipping on the brake levers, cramping fingers yes ... , but no slipping.
  6. Also want to know. Cant wait to get my hands on one.
  7. Get Shimano XT M8000, already have indentations on the levers for better grip .... .
  8. Amen, agree 100%.
  9. Downhill/Enduro/XC/Marathon are so vastly different it can almost be considered to be completely different sports. I can not agree with lumping them all together. Selecting a GOAT for each discipline would make a lot more sense.
  10. @Titan Racing Bikes I'm looking for a Titan Cypher Carbon L or XL, FRAME SET ONLY. Can you please advise who would have stock and ball park cost? Edit: I'm in Alberton
  11. Where is this @NotSoBigBen?
  12. Wow !!! I cant "spin" that fast, a 30T in front will never work for me.
  13. Me "two" please. What stock do they have, 38T 104? Brand? Want to put 38 on the Rapidé and use the 36 on there as buck-up for the RM for tougher routes.
  14. My motor is my legs ... , so I don't have that problem. 38 x 10/51 work for me 100%. Will consider a 36 only and only if I'm going to do a crap load of climbing.
  15. They are not easy to find. I have a 38T Race Face on my one bike, looking for another for the other bike but so far cant find. 36 no problem, but 38 is so skaars soos hoender tande . Edit: Only option: https://csixx.com/products/tt-chainring-104-bcd?variant=42978786672869
  16. Nope, 38 x 10/51 is not stupid, its perfect .... 🤪
  17. You cant be too careful, I will also do a complete strip after exposing it to sea water.
  18. Sounds like you learnt from James Veitch, he is a master stringing someone along 😁
  19. Please post if you have some more interaction with him ... 🤪
  20. Look awesome, just get ALL that salt off you bike asap ...
  21. Kudos for snuffing him out !!! I was gullible once in a similar situation, lost some bucks. Never again, cant be too careful.
  22. If I put it on to go ride immediately, I do wet, but if I have to drive somewhere first, normal sweating under the belt is enough. Polar do recommend wetting beforehand.
  23. Its worth the money since you wont buy another HR device again, replace the strap yes, but the device never.
  24. Get a Polar H10.
  25. The groove tool pro's design is much neater & compact and this don't have a chain breaker.
