  1. There are loads of mechanics there. Don't pay for things you don't need. They work through the night so your bike will get fixed if it is fixable. Less stress my friend. If you can get a portable pool for the 7 days I will fix your bike for you...
  2. Sorry it was on the single track in Toaki. He had it at the top and by the time we got to the bottom the clip had broken. I should have been a bit more specific!! If anyone has any new s please help. Thanks.
  3. Morning. A friend lost his Garmin on the songle track today Saturday 28th Jan 2012. If someone found it please let me know. The clip holding it on broke. Thanks.
  4. Thanks very much. Hard to find much about them. Yes they are very light and that is my main reason on getting them. Connecting them up to a set of ZTR Crest's. Thanks for your input guys. Makes the decision easier.
  5. Has anyone had any experience with Circus Monkey MTB hubs? I am looking at getting a new wheelset and they came up. They are really light and look pretty cool. Just don't know much about them. Any constructive points would be much appreciated.
  6. Check the website at least once a week and search it through. It will have most of the info you are looking for. When the routs profiles are up they should include the water points. You can make a better decision then.
  7. Specialized sell a set of clamps which you put on your seatpost and then attach the cage to it. I think it is the lightest and best looking option. I have it on to hold my spares in a tub. Most guys who stock Specialized have them.
  8. Really that's your answer. Cause the race goes on it. It is illegal to ride on that road. But I can see what type of cyclist has that mentality. If something happens to one of you are you going to complain about the motorist? There is a reason you can't cycle on it. And yet here on a public forum you advertise a ride. Are you also the same bunch that go through red robots?
  9. Why? I thought it was a highway and therefore no cycling on it.
  10. By follow you mean what? You not goig to ride on the M3 are you?
  11. Don't over do it and also be very careful not to pick up an injury now. 2 months left of training then taper and little speed work. You will get through it. No point in stressing. It only makes you want to try harder and easier to pick up an injury. Good luck and see you there.
  12. Ther was no pitcha first time round. Seems it is there now.
  13. Not sure what we are looking at here!
  14. I don't see it as a hijack. He was just correcting me. My post still stands. I would rather take the Ghost.
  15. So how does Ghost allow that? He definately rides with a shirt that has "Ghost" all over it! You are 100% correct. But on tv the other night watching the footage of DCM cape pioneer trek I am sure he was wearing a Ghost shirt. I must be going mad!!
  16. Cannodale's are not my favourite. Ghost supports a local guy (Brandon Stewart) so I would take that bike for their efforts in SA.
  17. It is fine. I used to do it every day but have now moved to Tokai. Go through Edgemead.
  18. Sounds good. Take a day or 2 rest before and you should be ready to go. Wish I had that kind of time.
  19. Don't know. Phone Tygerberg mountain bike club. They are pretty sharp. http://www.tygerbergmtb.co.za/
  20. Any chance you could send me the number?
  21. Why? You live in a township do you? You have a computer in there? You doing well for living in a township. I do know how these people live. I have been into the areas that they live in. I drop my employees off there every day. The reason these taxis have gotten out of control is because no one did anything to stop them when they started. Then they got worse. And now... it is out of control. If they did something like they do when they don't get paid enough (riot and cause havoc)then we might not be in the situation we are in. You sir seem to be in very high morals here. Maybe you are a taxi owner? Maybe you are a taxi driver? I am sick and tired of these taxis and hell yes I get some sort of relief when I see one being taken off the road because it is finished. I do not wish for anyone to die in a vehicle (a very close relative of mine did) but it appears it is the only way to get these death traps off the road. I also blame the government because they have not made public transport their priority. Secondly I do not have kids. Reason being I can't afford any. I like the way I live and I am not going to compromise. Therefore I have no children. It is not my culture but my choice.
  22. Too true. It seems that we are getting to a stage where the condition of these things is so bad that they have no opotion but to fail.
  23. Good point you have there. Taxis will soon eliminate themselves and their passengers. Look at all the road accidents they are having. Another one crashed into the wall near Steenberg the other day. I see that as another taxi off the road. Super stuff. These guys are killing machines. The quicker they kill themselves the better for me.I cannot feel sorry for their passengers anymore as these guys could prevent this if they stood up against the drivers. They don't. Simply put the sooner each one writes themself off the happier I become.
  24. Bulls and you can get it with the components you want. They sell frames only so the shop should be able to kit it out for you. Mine is awesome.
