It is not in great shape. Got a few rips here and there. Just thought the owner might want it back.

Ha ha. It's more of a zip up sleeveless top than a shirt. Pity!! If it was a girls top I would have gone looking for her on Saturday.

I found a top on the trails at Tokai on Saturday. If you lost one please PM me the name, colour, and size and I will hand it over to you.
  5. There is a 2 in 54 chance of meeting you in a pack of cards!! Go figure!

    Help!

Just been reading up about Cliff bars. Where can you get them in Cape Town? Very good reviews on the net.

    Help!

I also sometimes take a bit of biltong and have tried bananas. They are ok but not the best for me!!!!

    Help!

Tried those ones too. No good. The chocolate melts. I do like them but in the heat they make a mess and are just all over the place. Unless they make one with no chocolate that I don't know about?

    Help!

I need some help please. Energy bars!! What do you use and why? One that has no chocolate or sugar in it. One that doesn't melt in your pocket. One that actually works and helps. Been looking around and trying a few and nothing good so far. My diet makes me eat every 2-3 hours and sometimes I am on the bike and need food. PVM bars are at the moment my best. I like the USN protein bars but they melt. Most other bars have a high sugar content or are just made up of stuff I don't like. Has anyone else had this problem and found a good result? Thanks.
  11. I take a week off when I am feeling really tired and leave it at that. They say it helps. I am sure everyone will have their own formula.
  12. I would go Hope brakes and X0. Or that is what I have done on my Bulls 29'r. Everything is sweet as. Not as expensive as XX but I feel works perfect. I am not a fan of XTR at all.
  13. Me too. My dietician told me to just eat. Not bigger meals but smaller proper snacks more frequently. Sugarfree stuff and more water. It is pretty boring food but I have managed to drop about 5kgs so far. Another 5 to go till the Epic but I have the grounds to work on now. Not sure if that will help you but I hope you get it right.
  14. Honesty, a rare commodity these days. Good on the bike shop.
  15. How did this pan out??

  18. You bought a box???
  19. Done it in 2010 and came 118GC. Doing it again next year and I think Spark has got it right. Take a week off in December sometime to recover. It is also about being in the right mind for it. No need for a trainer but I have just hooked up a Dietician as I need to drop a few kgs. Good luck and see you there. If you come to CT before the race bring your bike and would be happy to join you for a training ride.
  20. I have 2 bottle holders and put a 3rd seat post bottle holder on and put all my spares in there. You can buy little containers that fit in there. Then the food alone goes into my pockets and it is not heavy so all good. It looks like a lot but beats taking a Camelback!!
  21. Crown Cycles - Marc. Number 021 671 6382. The guy is as good as gold. Near Oblivion. If you don't want to do it yourself. Not sure price as this kind of thing I also do myself. Otherwise get the bits you need and I can help you. I live in Tokai. It is easy peasy!!
  22. Where is this place? Is it in Plumstead by the Checkers?
  23. I tried Aerozine cranks once. Complete rubbish. The first one was crooked. The replacement one bent like a straw. Never heard a good report about them.
  24. I have a Bulls Copperhead and am very happy with it. I have put X-0 on it and it is pefect. Very happy. Great frames.
  25. It also seems that the person who decided to bring in the helicopter was the medic. I trust his medical knowledge and don't think it was a waste at all. I saw the guy and he was not good. Accidents happen and I am happy to know that if it happens to me the situation will be decided by a qualified medic and not a guy who posts on "the hub"
