  1. Kan 'n man net 'n bietjie fietsry.
  2. I will send you a PM with my details. It's not like it's raining outside again...
  3. What time are you planning on riding? I was planning to go and ride there myself this afternoon.
  4. Quickly browsed through the thread, so not sure if this has been mentioned. The top of the line Velotex bib is a very good deal. Got mine for +-R800. Did Sabie Classic with it and was perfect. Apart from that, the First Ascent Revolution bib with +-100 density chamois is also awesome, the compression one(white sections) fits more form fitting than the normal black one.
  5. True. Just need to make sure you're in right group when the first split happens...
  6. Will join you at the front for as long as I can keep up.... Not sure what kit I will have on. Will be riding a black and yellow Scott CR1 with Shamals. Anybody else wants to chip in for BL?
  7. Kan jy moontlik 'n gpx file stuur vir die ride of enige formaat om die fyner detail te kan sien...
  8. Thanks. I will definitely go and ride at all the places close to J-Bay.
  9. That's interesting. Will definitely give that a shot. I've ridden in Thornhill before at a school there. Can't remember the guys name or school though.
  10. I've seen guys riding between Humansdorp and Cape st Francis with road bikes, but thats a suicide ride with that road.
  11. Agree. I will be taking my MTB. Will drive through to Baviaans to do a couple of rides there( about an hour's drive from J-Bay) There is some nice farm roads out to the North Western side of the town and you can cycle to there and back. If you would like to join. Feel free to contact me.
  12. Good day Hubbers. I'm looking to move to JHB and live in either of these two suburbs. From my research Northcliff cycles & Linden Cycles are pretty close to each other if you for example stay on the koppie (World's View) in Northcliff. What group rides are there during the week between these two stores? What is the demand for these rides throughout the week? What would be a typical day out and at what time do the guys usually meet? My normal training hours are between 8 and 15hours including IDT sessions depending on where we are in the season. Over weekends I suppose van Gaalens is the answer and Cradle Rides? Thanks in advance!
  13. "That is it!" As quoted directly from Ricky Bobby.
  14. Also agree on AX1 with Crest or Arch wheelset. Maybe even a dropper post if your terrain/riding style asks for something like that. I have Crest wheels on my anthem x29 1 and its the best upgrade you can do to that bike. IMO.
  15. Already thought of riding to and from the venue +-70km with for example 15-30km of trails. That will make an interesting +-5 hour outing. Né Maxi....
  16. I enjoyed today. Showed some good progress with my training. Gives you that extra motivation to keep on training hard.
  17. Hmmmm. Still haven't received an email...
  18. Dear Customers It is with a touch of sadness that I bid you all farewell. I am moving on and Yellow Saddle no longer operates. My wife and I plan to go and settle in Scotland and we’ll be on our way as soon as I’ve completed a nice new challenge lying ahead, but more about that in a moment. The Scotland move has been on the cards for 18 months and most of my regulars have been party to the discussion. And yes, I have been informed – many times in fact – that you are not supposed to wear anything underneath your kilt. I’m also supposed to miss the sunshine and biltong. Rain and haggis is a poor substitute, they say. I may not miss biltong (I don’t even eat the stuff) but I will miss each one of you. The interaction over the years has been great. What about the workshop? It lives on. It will be re-incarnated into the new CycleLab super workshop in Fourways. You may have seen the announcement that the MoreGolf group formed a new division, MoreCycle and then purchased CycleLab and Yellow Saddle. In November a huge new CycleLab opens in Fourways and the Yellow Saddle workshop and all its IP will go into that new workshop. I’m now busy implementing it and am responsible for getting it staffed, trained, equipped and up-and-running before I leave in January 2014. It is a dream project with grand plans, 11 technicians, training plans, career paths, lots of in-house skills and the best equipment available. I hope you will all give it a chance. As soon as I have it up and running I’ll invite you to a workshop open day and you can come and appreciate the scale and effort for yourself. I thank you all for your support over the last six years. Regards Johan Bornman
  19. Just got the email from Yellow Saddle breaking the news. We will miss you Johan. Thanks for your great input and knowledge that I learned from you. Regards, WJ
  20. For my MTB sessions I use hrTSS, to incorporate it into my PMC chart, with most of my training on my roadbike. According to my findings/reading hrTSS is quite accurate with steady sessions but the hrTSS scores are quite inflated looking at interval sessions. hrTSS are based around your threshold heartrate tempo. Which you also need to test. I am using Training Peaks to get the hrTSS values, and then do a manual entry into Golden Cheetah.
