  1. midrand guys ride tues and thurs early, and usually the SS chaps lead the way
  2. Cool, will try be there.
  3. Can Epic Battle Plans be formulated before the end of the month?
  4. If anyone is looking for entries, check this link https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=hubmarket&module=core&do=view_item&item_id=38207
  5. haha, I am sure its no so much parts, but rather common sense and fairweather riding that keeps the KZN guys in bed warm under the duvet. Had the same a few years ago when I missioned down to do the HILL2HILL, if you have travelled, paid for accoms, invariably you will do it rather than sit it out, same for windy Argus races.
  6. Clearly 'get your disclaimers in early', make it easier to deal with later...
  7. good luck. eat healthy and keep on the bike, and you will soon see the results...
  8. Good luck all...
  9. haha. But what is at stake besides kudos on the hub?
  10. Its horribly boring, but if you do go this route, get a set of rollers. Its much more technical, you have to concentrate the whole time (or you will fall off) and feels like you are riding a bike, rather than sitting on a spinning bike in the gym. get a good fan too or you will be hovering over a pool of sweat...
  11. What about something fun like the Hill2Hill.
  12. My moneys on Dangle...
  13. last 15km is over farmland, rough n bumpy.
  14. I think that profile is upside down...
  15. ahhh but a 29"er DS, now thats different...
  16. much quicker, its fairly flat, farm road riding. ruts and dust. energy management and endurance are the key issues here.
  17. actually its a paste (grease) with tiny plastic beads in it. it reduces the gap between parts so that creaks are diminished and less torque is needed to tighten (i still tighten to recommended kn with a torque wrench.) heres a link for more info: http://www.competiti...-paste_388.html http://www.tacx.com/...pasta/index.dot
  18. get yourself some Tacx Carbon Assembly Paste, apply this to your bar/ stem connection, also your seatpost/ frame connection, creaks gone.
  19. No issues with my carbon bars over 5 years of riding and many races. No matter what you have, a good fall will break anything. Carbon absorbs trail chatter nicely, not as hard on the hands as alum. Also care needs to be taken with attaching bar ends to a carbon bar, make sure you have the correct stoppers (alum bar end plugs) inside, and dont over tighten them, or CRUSH...
  20. are you wearing baggies or speedo...
  21. no. If language had the possibility of becomming an issue, its not worth the hassles should something go pear shape and you need to do a return/refund whatever.
  22. my last correspondence with them was as follows: free shipping goes with Royal mail if the parcel weighs less than 2kg, if its more then it goes parcelforce, regardless of size or value.
  23. Umm, if you shop online without calculating in all the extras before you click 'Confirm Order', then there is a problem, Houston...
  24. A bit of American bling...?
