  2. I thought Fiats were italian...
  3. Steers special... popcorn all finished...
  4. lol, larger wheels doesnt mean the bike stands taller. best would be to try and ride both options and take it from there. she may well feel more comfortable on a 26", the 29" wheels take some effort to build up momentum, but thereafter the ride is good.
  5. Whats problematic for me is the OP's very last statement: "Just thought I would warn everyone before they part with their hard earned money for this course…" If it was my business and somebody wrote this, despite all that I had been through to try and 'help him out', this would seriously get up my nose. OP, with all this mess, you might find yourself facing larger issues. My dealings with JB, he has always been 'more than accommodating', and helpful at all hours of the day, and night. Sure there have also been ups and downs, but he is one of the few people out there who earms his respect. to try and affect his business now with your last statement is not on, and explains the flack you are getting since you decided to make your issues public. move on pal, and read the fine print next time you sign up for something.
  6. What a mess, doesnt really belong in the realm of open discussion. JB doesnt need to reply to this imo. Pity, this 'debate' doesnt do anyone any good.

yup, altitude is bad if you try race the day after you get to JHB. if possible, get here a week early so your body can adjust.
  8. VB - its going to bite...!
  9. yup, just gangsters here in GP
  10. yes CRC does that, BUT, it can be problematic because their exchange rate updates quite slowly so you may be bluffed in thinking your are getting one great price and then when you pay it may be more that appears on your credit card statement. (or less if the rand miraculously strengthens)
  11. Shipping is either 34 euro or 39 euro to RSA - can be the limiting factor when comparing to free shipping from CRC...
  12. Thanks, as for most things you still need to compare the prices for what you need between the two websites. pedals for instance, CRC mtb shimano's are cheaper. (PB xtr = R1262.54, CRC = R1093.11) edit: OOPs sorry, changed to RSA on PB, and the vat was removed, better price (1053). thanks.
  13. havent had that on mine. could be the chain links not properly connected.
  14. what about past 'Dale owners...
  15. looking forward to it.
  16. No problems either. More than 30 orders placed. Their aftersale service has been superb, instant replacement of broken parts, and quick easy swap out of incorrect items. My biggest worry is always with the local post office and things going awry this side, it often takes longer to get through our efficient postal systems than getting the items here from the UK, go figure. Until the local stores match their prices, availability, and choice, I will keep supporting them.
  17. Do the math, I saved in excess of R4000 bringing in my track bike from Evans Cycles UK, despite the 15% duty.
  18. If you are lucky, no, you will just pay vat and clearence (approx 16-17%) If the customs guy is doing his job properly, then you will pay the extra duty for helmets on top of the vat and clearance.
  19. Used both Dura-Ace and RED. prefer Red.
  20. Not possible if humans and money are involved.
  21. too much pain.
  22. lol, boycott good products because of LA? Cut off your nose to spite your face...
  23. Enjoyed it too, my legs took 20km to warm up, following yesterdays Silverstar which emptied them of energy and any will to climb. Tough start, up and down, difficult to get a rhythm, 2nd half went better, managed to ride the course, tricky rocky climbs were fun. Thanks Richard, nice event.
  24. good theory hehe
