  1. I know you are, me too, no stresses buddy It was a good morning on the road though . REMEMBER what I said, I am gonna do some hill training in Wales and come back to SA and give you a run for you money
  2. I tried . YOU were flying up there though anyway, so you wouldnt have a problem if it was flatter or not
  3. Myself and Berry's Stats (The Blackhill and Repeats of Chappies Version), with a coffee stop at Noorhoek Farmstall km : 96.12 Time : 3:42:27 Avg : 24.67 Climb : 1139meters Distance : 31.69km Uphill AND I just got back from 2 different kiddies birthday parties and I am still alive
  4. Your Bum man! I was struggling with that moving average you guys were keeping up, so decided to just be a man and stay within my limitations..... ..... Good for me to get to do Chappies a few times though, now know it like the back of my hand..... Sorry I couldnt let you suck my wheel anymore up there on my 4th repeat , but I was getting tired then ... It was really great meeting up with you guys, had a super time and really awesome to put faces to the names.... Just a word of advice for those next weekend..... Rather hope that the wind is blowing, cause my word, Suikerbossie with NO wind in the heat..... Well, to put it nicely..... its sh**T HOT!!!!
  5. Lekka man, see you there!
  6. Likewise. The only other rider I know is Berry, we are in the same PPA group and have done a few rides together. I will look out for the futurelife shirt and Giant. I am wearing a White Steven's shirt, riding a Felt FC with Concept Deep Sections! See you in the morning.
  7. Yeehah!!! Good stuff man. Gonna need to keep me company, so dont ride too bloody fast
  8. Dont stress Berry, I know them
  9. Thanks to you
  10. #1... Thanks Tesla... Easier than me trying to explain . Meet you in the morrow!!
  11. Berry Easy stuff my friend. You are coming N2 through to town. Drive a though you are going to the Waterfront and DO NOT take those traffic lights right to go to the waterfront. Take the NEXT right, goes towards Green Point Stadium. Stay on this road, drive PAST the stadium on your right hand side. At the NEXT set of traffic lights, turn RIGHT towards the Moulie Point Lighthouse. There is a BP??? Garage on your right had side. Turn right again IMMEDIATELY (so...before the petrol station), this will take you along a service road to the Point Gym parking lot.... AM I RIGHT HUBBERS????
  12. Now that is VERY true. Lets see what tomorrow has in store
  13. I concur and will be dong the same.
  14. OK OK... I will try and stress less...
  15. You use the same as i do! I train all week with 32Gi, eat low GI on a daily basis. Come race day. I eat a low GI breakfast, followed by my 500ml pre-race 32gi bottle. Then off on the ride. On my bike I have 2 bottles. 1 is 32gi, in the front cage which I will sip on from the end of hour 1 to 2 and half hours. At that point, I feel I need a little more in my system, so move Cytomax to front cage, chomp on a Banana and Energy Bar... and then ride the remainder on Cytomax, with a Gel thrown in for good measure in the last 10km (Caffeine included in gel). Thats what works for me. I feel that after being in the saddle at "race pace" for 2 and half hours, I feel I need a pick me up and the Cytomax does that for me.... Just my 2c worth
  16. Ha Ha Ha... These gents that ar riding this Peninsula Tour are MACHINES!!! dont want to hold them up cause I DONT want to do a race pace 115km +/-
  17. Cool, I would NEVER drop off the back without letting the WHOLE group know anyway Group Etiquette!! Thanks Spat
  18. Agreed, just adds more rigidity and with a weight penalty. you are not taking off a hang of a lot, so you should be fine, wont manke a difference to the clamp zones with that sort of cut
  19. I give Marc and Henk a BIG ... Have bought many parts from them, Mark ALWAYS makes a plan and comes to the party with his pricing. What a SUPER shop
  20. Lets see how long I can hold on for. If it gets too tough for me, I can always do some repeats up Black Hill and do a re-group at the Sunvalley traffic lights to hook up for Chappies and Suikerbossie. Lets see how I feel when I get to that point
  21. Getting nervous again, just looking at the calibre of riders coming along
  22. Man, just do it yourself. I have NEVER taken my bike in for s service! I do ALL my own servicing and builds. Take your time to learn about your bike and components, read as much as you can and then take things slowly!!! You get so much more satisfaction out of completing something youserlf, than having to spend money for someone to do the little tasks.... If you dont know how to do it and the reading material gets confusing..... ASK!
  23. Lekka, glad you got it sorted out
  24. You just saved a whole lot of unsuspecting people from losing their hard earned cash
