Ok Ok Ok ! I can't wait for creche to open and for me to get back to work and on my bike. !!!! There should be a law about my creche closing over December. Teachers at nursery school's should be legaly prevented from taking leave or closing the school down over this period. Teachers are the same as essential service providors : you don't see Hospitals, the police , ambulance or fire service's closing down over December ? Do you !! Those darling little things that where your cute kid's before Christmas have now turned on you. The've got their presents and are now holding you hostage. Negotiations to find a mad available baby sitter , so that I can go for a ride, have proven fruitless and the milage on their toy cars is higher than my actual training rides so far. PS : Does anybody know how to get wax crayon off ???

An incredible year. after ten years off the bike (bar a few false starts) this had to be the best. I'm back (well almost) 1/ Going throught the Alphabet in one year from Z group to A group . 2/ Early morning winter rides in the mist, when snug as a bug in my thermal cycling rug. 3/ Amashova: Glad to see I can still climb. 3/ Bakwena : Glad to see I still can't sprint Taking the leap and looking forward to playing with the Vet boys next year

Playing devils advocate: The argument could be put forward that this photo was placed in a "public domain" forum and thus became available to all as it was not specified as copyright. Although I frown on using someone else's intelectual property without at least asking. I would have to suggest that if you don't want to make your work public domain you must 'copyright it" I feel thats why I have the words "web copy" tatooed across my face on my "portrait Place " photo. Untill I purchase it I have no right to use it in any form.

RE: Copy right; I would like to pose the Question: Can I post a "My Picture" /"Portrait Place" etc. web photo onto the hub if i have not purchased it yet ?

The Spoke family had a great time as well. BabySpoke rode the 2-3yrs and BrotherSpoke the 4yrs. I got a PB of under 3. Big Congrats to PnP. They have realy tuned into another cycling market wich was probably bigger than the MTB

Why would you want to go off track. You would get wet, dirty and it would wreck the bike!! When there is a perfect cobbled section going straight through the middle??

A very good report and pleasure to read. I can't wait for my two kids to do their first ride. But I will wait for them to come to me and ask. I think it would be a big mistake to force a sport on them , that they could come to resent if they have a "bad day" in the saddle, one their first ride. But I do envy you.

Still the easiest method is: Step one: wheel bike in a forward motion towards your LBS Step two: Give clear instructions to apron clad mechanic looking person (normaly found in back of LBS) 'check and clean chain" Step three; Leave for 24 hrs Step four: Return and collect bike. This tried and tested method, prevents grease stains on the lounge floor (and the trusty sofa). This method is ideal for the mechanicaly inept.

Can I ask for similiar advise from this medical panel: On saturday I got pole-axed by the "Spring stomache virus bug". Sunday saw me clinging to the side of my bed as it rocked to and fro in the cross winds. Monday , I was hugging the porcelain like the last man on the pace line .... Today I finks I'm better . . . The temperature has gone down, I can drink a half bideon without dropping it, and I now remember where I parked my bike. Two questions. Are antibiotics a banned substance and can I still ride the D2D in 5 days time??

This July , to celebrate an incredible TDF, and with my winnings on Robbie's spectacular sprint, I decided to treat myself. Winnings = R198.00 , ladbrokes where offering 14/1 on Robbie, I should have put the kids education fund on that, instead of a miserable R20 each way . . . aah well. But at least after one months betting I came out only a few hundred down ( Damm the Astana lot ) So with my percieved winnings I logged onto the TDF site and purchased a shinny yellow " Maillot Jaune" to hang above my bar counter and to proudly tell any non Hubber friends , that it was given to me by my good "pal " Robbie Hunter who won the tour de france. (Don't worry, they would never work it out) I paid my money by credit card, hit the enter key , and sat back waiting for my package to arrive ( oh . . yes . . free water bottle included). The days rolled into weeks, and a week became a month. But still no brown clad Fedex man standing at my door?? Concerned, I had been scammed, I checked my credit card statment, yep ... I had paid for it. So I dropped Paris an email. Twelve hours later, I had a phone call from the Brown clad Fedex man, saying that they had the incorrect cell phone number for my delivery, so where unable to deliver my package??. And by the way how was I going to pay the additional VAT of R600.00 ??? So you see my dear hubbers this is the delamer. One piece of yellow fabric has cost me R200.ish in lossed bets + R 895 for product and postage + R 600 VAT to the good people at SARS = Is it worth it??
