  1. He has Greek blood for sure!
  2. He's been sparring with much heavier gloves, that's how you train...heavy gloves in training for light hands during the fight.
  3. That's looks really nice, as the saying goes...it it looks straight it is straight!
  4. Hi I'm Ed and I'm a spokeshave and block plane addict
  5. I put a very slight back angle on my chisels...use a playing card on the back of the chisel, run it a few times over one of your higher count stones.
  6. Dream killer!

  8. Enigste manier om die dag beter te maak is as die baas instap en sĂȘ, "Haai JY, jy's 'n pielle ou, vat die res van die dag af!"
  9. As Vrydag 'n gesig gehad het, het ek haar nou oopbek gesoen!
  10. Cane rat; so-so, probably delicious when you're really hungry but I'm not rushing out to set more traps. Edit: I've tried some other animals too, but for fear of upsetting the liberals and vegetarians lets say the cane rat was it
  11. Twee Maandae in een week doen dit aan mens
  12. I do, but I follow the Sage Canaday way of cooling down first and then stretching. I do a light after run stretch (I refer to it school boy stretches), finger flicking, leg pendulums shoulders, light stuff like that. The deep stretching I do about 30 minutes after or sometimes even just before bed time. After long distances (15km's or more per run) I do an after stretch and then again a morning stretch.
  13. Just make sure your saw has a long enough arbour shaft, the absolute majority of EU bound machines only come with short shafts that can't take dado stacks (ask me I have been down this road)
  14. Brilliant pictures of the meat, however, like the old Bosnian saying goes "light beer is the first step towards an inflatable girlfriend"
  15. Turning the tables like a BOSS
  16. I sat down for a very important business dinner with a supplier, their chef prepared a baked avo and tuna starter. My immediate reaction was utter disgust (avo was not something I thought would be good cooked), I kept a straight face and because good manners dictate not to spit someone's offerings on the floor I ate my starter. Flippin amzing taste and apart from a slight change in texture, avo is one of the few fruits that goes down really well with high heat cooking. Turned out to be the highlight of the dinner that avo

  19. I'm a NB fanboy, ran in a pair of Leadville 1210V2's road and trail, got 1136km's out that pair...you're spot on if that's your choice
  20. Check Salomon.co.za, they also selling really good shoes at 50% at the moment
  21. Andrew, please hear me out about these shoes; I bought the exact same pair two weeks ago, read the reviews, they list these shoes as tight amd staying so. It was my experience with them that they were incredibly uncomfortable, being very tight across the forefoot. After 75km's in them I gave up and bought the Kanadia's. What I did like about them were; super stable, super grippy and very airy. I could feel the cold air rush through the shoe as I ran. However, if I was you, go to a shop and pre-fit them first, they seem slightly cramped. As a reference, I also bought a pair of Boost 9's, which fitted like a glove no issues. These are trail shoes, you should trail fit a pair first
  22. Was the topic of a recent braai - what happened, you don't invite people for dinner and then make them cook their own food? times have changed
  23. 3 times a week; Wednesday midweek braai = boerrie, smoked cheesewors or the odd pork banger all ending up in a roll Friday night braai - anything meaty with a side or two Saturday/Sunday braai = the big one with pap, sous en ander "bykossies" Living on the coast everyday is good for a braai so only excuse not to braai is death or severe illness
  24. I can't recommend a running coach, but runnersworld.co.za has marathon training programs which are easy to follow, you can download according to time left to your marathon and or fitness level. Very helpful stuff there. Your local running club is also probably a good place to join for the knowledge and assistance from experienced runners
  25. PFW = Plaaslike fiets winkel ...maar nou is hulle 'n fietsboks
