  1. Looks awesome! How are you planning on tensioning the chain once it starts to loosen up?
  2. http://www.buildabik...ycle-challenge/ We are now an official charity as part of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge. We will be riding for a purpose. Click the link above for more info.
  3. What's with the tensioner? Doesn't that thing have horizontal dropouts?
  4. My commute is 21km each way. 371m ascent to work and 260m ascent home.
  5. I have a few bike recipients who are very fit and want to do races. I would love to cover those costs but just can't afford it - would anyone be willing to "sponsor" the guys? Anyone have corporate connections? I am going to get them some kit made and will include any sponsors logos on the kit and obviously document everything on here as well as on the website and Facebook etc. Thanks again for everyone's generosity!
  6. Thanks guys. Anyone have any MTB disc wheels and disc brakes that you're not using?
  7. 24th May? My training wiill be Sani2C
  8. In for the long one again. It hurt so good last year.
  9. QR is so available, easy and common. And cheap. Not cutting edge, but hey.....
  10. Seals are cheap and "consumable". Do a lowers service every 25-30 hours and your fork will last forever. I have learned to do mine and it takes minutes every month or 2.....I replace the seals on my fork once a year when it goes for the damper cartridge service.

  19. You can't decide to run gears on a SS hub like this one: http://26bikes.interbikes.eu/file/3313/novatec-nt-256sbt-10-mm-rear-single-speed-hub.jpg If you have a standard frame with vertical dropouts, you'll still need to run a tensioner. SS-specific frames have either horizontal dropouts like a BMX, an eccentric BB or sliding dropouts
  20. What Rouxtjie said.

  22. The label says 8 bar pressure, not 18 bar! #justtakingthepiss
  23. Same robot, same issue - light turns red for car. Driver looks and sees me already in the intersection on my green light. Driver pulls out anyways. Didn't have anything in hand to throw except some expletives. Again.
  24. I use a hammer and a block of wood. Doesn't mean that you should though. I place the headset cups in the freezer for 5 min before the job so they contract and slide in easier. I also grease the inside of the head tube.
