  1. These guys clearly didn't take taxis into account. If only it was this easy...
  2. "eh, what's up doc?"
  3. I hear ya mate, my last ride was on 1 May this year. Doc says I'm still out for around 2 more months. When you finished with those cycling mags, i'll PM you my address and I'll find a good home for them...
  4. fark, or just close the window at least
  5. If it is a 2013, then I'd be a little suspicious of a guy who owns a bike like this with all the new extras, halfway through 2013, and he has no idea what he owns. Never mind the fact that he has no idea what to ask for it? Ask him what he paid. Just a thought. If it was a few years old then OK, give him the benefit of the doubt, bu this bike is less than 1 yr old?
  6. Eish, had a fairly non-descript off on 1 May, thought I'd sprained it so rode for a few k's before letting the boys know that I'd be returning to my car. Total ride time after prang was around 8km. Went to doc for some strapping of my sprain. Straight to X-Ray and was told it's fractured. Pissed me off as GoPro footage looked like I just stopped and lay the bike down! Weekly check ups with the doc looked like it was healing, until week 8 (after I'd been walking on it for two weeks already) when doc said I'd need some surgery. This is what I look like after last Friday's op: Doc said he battled with the top screw and managed to strip the thread of the first one in.He was also kind enough to photgraph the surgery for me. The plate looks like a bicycle chain from the side. Sorry for pic quality, it's a photo of the X-Ray they took during the surgery. Thanks to Captain Cheesy for bringing some beer to the hospital on Friday night
  7. This, is going to end in tears.
  8. I have a 1600 lumen magicshine light (forget the model), and my friends often say that when I come up behind them, even on a not so bright setting, they think it's a car coming. Whilst it's quite funny to watch them panic for a second or two, I do think it's quite dangerous as their reactions and subsequent evasive action could cause accidents. Now they are pretty much used to the light, but I'm always a little nervous when riding with people who are not expecting me to come up behind them with a light so bright.
  9. Only just saw this thread now. Sorry for my tardy posting habits...
  10. Ya, some might say it's a downgrade...
  11. Awesome, nice one. At least you won't need an alarm for those early morning rides anymore.
  12. I heard this story from another hubber on Friday night. He also had problems with vibration and they gave him a brand new unit for a very good price. Can't remember the details as I'd had surgery that day and was full of pain killers, but I remember it being a really good deal, around 50% or less of retail.
  13. Have a look at your gut in the mirror. Always works for me.
  14. WOW, that's incredible, imagine the amount of strength, balance and who knows what else is required to pull that off. Is it possible to love more than one? Kind of makes one want to get up and learn how to dance...
  15. I can't be sure, but I think I may be in love...

  17. OK then, I suppose I can do 12
  18. Do they come in six packs?
  19. If his legs are sinking, you may find that the tractor tube is around the waist :whistling:
  20. I agree, also, for those that are self employed, all the risk lies with the "paper pusher". I have personal sureties coming out of my tail for the business and you always get paid last as the boss. During slow times, I have lost sleep over staff salaries and have paid Christmas bonuses out of my own pocket before. In my case, if I'm not working, the company doesn't earn, so holidays have to be carefully planned and I've never been on holiday without having to work almost daily for even a small time.
