Hi All I have great intentions of doing this route. I was thinking of doing it in stages or for as long as work/time allows me. Maybe this is premature as I have ordered the book and await delivery. My real question is the feasibility and possibility of doing it solo? Your recommendations and advice will be appreciated. Sort of already made plans to start in early August........??? Wild camping where possible and keeping credit card usage to the minimal. Thanks

Silly idea from the start. Doomed from day one. I actually thought/think such a race entry idea is silly/unachievable/pipe-dream. It depended who entered first as to who would enter the race last. Now that the time is nigh, dummy's get spat. Also, naturally, too expensive to sponsor, Winner takes all and second is as good as last. What an incentive for the sponsors! There will be more fun sorting the mess out than the actual racing.

Same happened to a mates Ikons. Pricked them and they would not seal using Stans, Used Tyrefluid (PS2?) and they are still holding up. Told him to change before his stage race though. Using this PS for 6 months now and still no problem........hope it lasts.......I for one, will never go back to Stans.

Have not had a problem using Wurth tape tjoopliss.

I have been using Wurth tape for years now and still no problems. I believe 3M tape is just as good? Normal insulation tape has let me down on several occasions.

I use a power bank which I connect prior to the depletion of the Garmin battery. Have ridden two days like this. May work for longer but I have not tested the duration. Somebody will more or less tell you how long a 20 000 mAh battery will last plus your Garmin battery. Works well for me.and the Garmin is able to run off a powerbank.

Yes, but the sellers don't rate you as a buyer whereas it seems to be the buyers have to rate the seller. The facility is there.
